The House Will Vote Today on a Resolution Opposing Anti-Israel United Nations Resolution

Majority leader Kevin McCarthy and Foreign Affairs committee chairman Ed Royce announced Monday night that the House of Representatives will hold a vote Thursday on a resolution blasting last month's United Nations Security Council resolution regarding Israeli settlements. The Obama administration chose to abstain on the Security Council vote rather than exercise its veto power.

"This Administration has lost all credibility when it comes to Israel," said McCarthy and Royce in a joint statement. "The Administration's stunt at the UN hurt our ally Israel and made peace in the region even more difficult to achieve. This Thursday, the House will not abstain from its responsibility and will vote on a bipartisan resolution reaffirming our longstanding policy in the region and support of Israel."
