Incoming Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer is utterly delighted with President-elect Donald Trump’s proposed trillion-dollar infrastructure plan, although he has some demands in addition to the gigantic investment.
Schumer told ABC News' Jon Karl and Rick Klein on their podcast Powerhouse Politics, “We think it should be large. He’s mentioned a trillion dollars. I told him that sounded good to me . . . We’re not going to oppose something simply because it has the name Trump on it, but we will certainly not sacrifice our principles just to get something done.”
Schumer also said his position on trade is closer to Trump’s than it was to his predecessors, saying, “I’m more close to that than I am to Barack Obama or George Bush’s, and so are a lot of Democrats.Read the rest of the story HERE.
