If Hillary Clinton had won the election, there’d be the requisite calls by Republicans for the Electoral College to throw the race to the House of Representatives. You know, because she still has that FBI think hanging over her head, and all kinds of scandals. And the Democrats would be like “Hey, she won, accept it!”
But now that Donald Trump has won, suddenly the Electoral College is supposed to follow the national popular vote. Forget about the House of Representatives: nearly 700,000 have signed a petition on change.org urging the Electors to “Make Hillary Clinton President on December 19.”
It reads:
On December 19, the Electors of the Electoral College will cast their ballots. If they all vote the way their states voted, Donald Trump will win. However, they can vote for Hillary Clinton if they choose. Even in states where that is not allowed, their vote would still be counted, they would simply pay a small fine – which we can be sure Clinton supporters will be glad to pay!
