Latest On Trump's Problems: RNC Halts Get-Out-the-Vote Effort

As the fallout from the leaked audio--in which Donald Trump describes his sexual exploits in graphic detail--grows, the GOP nominee continues to become more defensive.
In an email obtained by Politico, RNC staffer Lauren Toomey tells subordinates to halt their work on the "Victory" program, dedicated to helping Trump get elected:
"Please put a hold/stop on all mail projects right now. If something is in production or print it needs to stop. Will update you when to proceed."
This is just one more example of the full-stop-panic the Republican Party is in with regard to the leaked audio. As of Sunday, 17 Senators, 31 House members, and a host of former governors and political figures associated with the Republican Party have condemned Trump, rescinded their endorsements, or called on him to step down as the nominee. See the full list here.
The leader of the RNC, Reince Priebus, is allegedly running from the explosion as well:
Priebus cancels TV appearances, advises RNC staffers to "do what's best for them." It's every man for himself in the #Republican party.   — Alex Baker (@baker_alex) October 9, 2016
Even Trump's running mate, Governor Mike Pence, has cancelled public appearances, and issued a statement in which he reprimanded the nominee for his behavior.
