Donald Trump Sticks With ‘King of Debt’ Moniker

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Wednesday continued to embrace his nickname “the king of debt,” drawing a comparison between his corporate debt practices and what he would do with the nation’s debt if he were president.
“I’m the king of debt. I’m great with debt,” Mr. Trump said on CBS “This Morning.” “Nobody knows debt better than me. I’ve made a fortune by using debt. And if things don’t work out, I renegotiate the debt. That’s a smart thing, not a stupid thing.”
A day earlier, Mr. Trump tweeted: “I am ‘the king of debt.’ That has been great for me as a businessman, but is bad for the country. I made a fortune off of debt, will fix U.S.”
