...The poll exposes one possible weakness in Mr. Trump’s otherwise strong support: He loses in a head-to-head test match-up with Mr. Cruz, 43% to 51%.

Mr. Cruz’s recent rise in the polls might explain why Mr. Trump has started to question whether his rival, a U.S. citizen born in Canada, is eligible to serve as president. Mr. Cruz has said, and constitutional scholars generally agree, that there is no question about his eligibility.
Meanwhile, Mr. Trump beats Mr. Rubio in a two-person contest, 52% to 45%.
