Syrian Refugee Policy is Suicidal

Immigration: Despite knowing the Islamic State smuggled terrorists into Paris with Syrian refugees, a White House aide affirms it is moving ahead with, even stepping up, its reckless plan to bring 10,000 more Syrians here.

Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes Sunday assured the public that the refugees will undergo "very extensive screening" to catch any ISIS terrorist infiltrators.

But FBI Director James Comey put the lie to such vetting claims, recently testifying that no foreign databases exist to screen the Syrian refugees.

"We can query our database until the cows come home, but there will be nothing showing up because we have no record of them," Comey warned, adding,"It's a risk."

That's an understatement.

ISIS boasts of embedding 4,000 "warriors" among the 4 million Syrian refugees. After what it pulled off in Paris, such claims should be taken seriously.

How many of those 4,000 are bound for the U.S.? Authorities have no way of knowing.

The administration argues that it's conducting interviews with Syrians at camps in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon. But without security forces on the ground in Syria who can verify details, there is no way to back-check a refugee's story to see if he is telling the truth and is, in fact, not a security threat.

Even when we had people on the ground in Iraq to screen refugees, terrorists got through the safety net.
