Israel Bans Some Palestinians From Jerusalem’s Old City:
Israel will deploy more soldiers to Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank after a pair of stabbing attacks against Jewish citizens, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday, a move that risks exacerbating weeks of violence between Palestinians and Israelis.
Following an emergency meeting of security and military advisers, Mr. Netanyahu said Israel would also increase administrative detentions of Palestinians and demolish the homes of terrorists that had attacked Israelis in recent days.
“We’re running an all-out war against Palestinian terrorism,” Mr. Netanyahu said in a statement after the meeting.

Two Israelis were stabbed to death on Saturday night in Jerusalem’s Old City, and another 15-year-old boy was knifed and wounded in the early hours of Sunday morning near the same location, according to a police spokeswoman. Both attackers were Palestinian, and both were killed at the scene by Israeli military, the spokeswoman said.
Police limited access to the Old City for two days starting Sunday for Palestinian residents of Jerusalem who were under 50 years of age, police said. Tourists, Israelis and Palestinian business owners and residents of the Old City were still allowed access.
Mr. Netanyahu faced calls earlier Sunday from Israeli citizens and members of his government to accelerate construction of settlements in the West Bank and to beef up security in the Palestinian territory. They urged him to deploy more soldiers and checkpoints, and to put curfews on Palestinian movement.
“We will toughen our measures against the Palestinians,” Minister of Intelligence and Atomic Energy Yisrael Katz told Army Radio. He said the military could launch a widespread operation in the West Bank similar to one in 2002 that came in response to the second Palestinian uprising.
