Netanyahu: “We will not allow Israel to be flooded with illegal migrants and terrorists.”

Good For Him!
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected calls from opposition leaders to help absorb some of the Middle Eastern migrants flooding Europe, saying Sunday that Israel was too small to take them in.
The prime minister said Israel is not indifferent to the human tragedy of the refugees but “Israel is a small country, very small. It does not have demographic depth. It does not have geographic depth.
“That is why we have to control our borders against both illegal work infiltrators and instigators of terror,” Mr. Netanyahu added, referring to African migrants who have entered Israel from Egypt in recent years and to Islamist militants. “We will not allow Israel to be flooded with illegal migrants and terrorists.”
Israel has built a fence along its border with Egypt to stem the flow of tens of thousands of Africans crossing from the Sinai Peninsula. Another barrier has gone up along the frontier of the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights to prevent spillover of the war in Syria and militant attacks.
Mr. Netanyahu said work was beginning Sunday on another security fence along the southern border with Jordan, where a new international airport is being built.
