Op-ed: Key Middle East Players Are Siding With Netanyahu
Op-ed:
Key Middle East Players Are Siding With Netanyahu By: Diane Sori/ The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots on CPR Worldwide Media / www.cprworldwidemedia.net
“I oppose this deal because I want to prevent war. And this deal will
bring war.”
- Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's words in reference to Obama's nuclear surrender to Iran
While Congress is on hiatus for the month of August, our
Israel-hating traitor-in-chief is in full operational mode as he tries
to garner support in Congress for his Iranian sellout...actually surrender...nuclear deal.
Coming up against and trying to deflect a very well-organized and
very well-financed AIPAC campaign put together by those who oppose this deal, Obama
recently met with 20 leaders of major Jewish groups to try and play
down their many rightful concerns after he referred to any who oppose
the deal as being “basically warmongers.” Saying he would NOT hesitate
to "argue forcefully" for the deal...a deal he oh so wrongly believes is in the
best interest of both the U.S. and Israel...Obama is now faced with the
reality that even some of the party loyal have pledged to say NO to this
very bad deal.
Among the Democrats who oppose this deal...this surrender...are New
York Rep. Steve Israel (the highest-ranking Jewish Democrat in the
House), fellow New York Rep. Nita Lowey, and Florida Rep.Ted Deutch (the
senior Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on the Middle
East) who said, “After a decade in public life working to stop Iran from
ever acquiring nuclear weapons, I cannot support a deal giving Iran
billions of dollars in sanctions relief — in return for letting it
maintain an advanced nuclear program and the infrastructure of a
threshold nuclear state.”
And what does Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu...the world's
last great statesman... continue to say about Obama's sellout...surrender ...to
Iran...first, he says the agreement is fatally flawed and dangerous, and
that, “As a result of this deal, there will be more terrorism, there
will be more attacks, and more people will die”... second, he says that
supporters of the deal are trying to “muzzle criticism” of it with "deceitful" claims...and third, he says that Obama 's claim that the deals
opponents have NO other choice other than war for reining in Iran’s
nuclear weapons ambitions are “utterly false.”
Each and every word said by Netanyahu is indeed a correct
assumption...is indeed the truth...and it's a truth that Barack HUSSEIN Obama wants and
needs to be kept hidden at all costs.
Reiterating
every chance he gets Israel's arguments that this very bad
deal is NOT enough to even remotely curb or reign in Iran's nuclear
ambitions,
Netanyahu is quick to point out...and rightfully so...that the U(seless)
N(ations) having given sanctions relief before a vote of yea
or nay was taken by Congress...with Obama justifying the U.N. action by
saying that the deal is NOT a treaty and therefore does NOT need
congressional support...could very well help Iran's ongoing
destabilization and financing of regional conflicts both in the Middle
East and in North Africa.
And what about the other major Middle East players in countries affected by this
very bad deal...many of them now surprisingly agreeing with Netanyahu
arguments about Iran's ultimate ambition being to become the dominant power
in the Middle East via their becoming a nuclear power. First and
foremost is Saudi Arabia...a country who has forged an alliance of sorts
with Israel and shares in Israel's belief that Iran's development of
any type of nuclear technology will move it closer to becoming a nuclear
state capable of developing a bomb at short notice. And it's through
this alliance that Saudi's rulers want to bring change into the
current political equation turning said equation from a balance between the state and
non-state players into a fine-tuned balance
between a government and an opposition, and doing so from within the
Saudi state's framework. Believing that this will render both Iran and
ISIS less of a threat to them and to the region in general, the Saudi's
hope that by limiting Iran's regional influence it in turn would help assure a better
down the road nuclear deal with Iran.
Lofty ambitions but even Saudi's leaders know...as does Netanyahu...that
first, Iran cannot be trusted to abide by any deal...NOT now nor in the
future...for a state ruled by religious zealots will NEVER acquiesce to
any who do NOT follow their religious dogma....and second, a
nuclear-armed Iran or an Iran even close to developing and/or delivering
a payload would be off-limits to any serious military attack as their
main facilities remain buried deep underground and for all intents and purposes
are off-limits to inspection.
And Egypt...who like Saudi Arabia has a Sunni Muslim-majority population
unlike Iran which is primarily Shia...also has serious concerns about
this deal and is outwardly opposed to it. Now having forged a close
relationship with Israel, al-Sisi”s Egypt totally sides with the Jewish
state in their condemnation of Iran. Besides having a peace treaty with
Israel, Egypt, as well as Jordan, has increased security cooperation with
Netanyahu's government. And al-Sisi has called for the formation of an
Arab regional alliance to fight both islamic extremism and Iran, and is
supported by Israel in this endeavor. And Egypt is working with Israel to
combat ISIS loyal terrorist groups in the Sinai Peninsula, as well as
cracking down on Iran-supported terrorist group Hamas.
And what of the regions other players...leaders of the smaller Gulf
states who are truly concerned about the so-called 'technical aspects'
of the nuclear deal...the ones hiding deep within the annexes and
appendixes. Well, they are most assuredly quite nervous about how the
U.N. sanctions relief and improving
ties with Washington could and most likely will shift the regional
balance of power in Iran's
favor. And with Iran already helping to destabilize the region by
supporting
its favored militant groups in Yemen, Iraq, Syria,
and Lebanon, and now with said billions of dollars being freed up by the
sanctions
relief, many Arab leaders rightly fear that Iran now will now be able to
greatly increase their funding for those fighters...exactly the same
fear that
Netanyahu has.
And all fear that their relationship with Washington might quickly erode
with this very bad deal for it gives Iran even more control of and access
to the Gulf's oil reserves, and if Iran did get a nuclear weapon it will
allow them to become what's known as a 'most privileged partner in the
region' as Washington...NO matter the party in control of the White
House...will be forced to deal with them even more so than they would
have had to if the deal was NOT implemented.
So, as the September 17th last day for a vote on this very bad deal is fast
approaching, Netanyahu has his work cut out for him in trying to
convince those in Congress that this deal must NOT in any way be
implemented and Obama has his work cut out for him that it
must...remember the brethren are counting on him. I only hope that those
in Congress put aside their party loyalties and for once unite together
and do the right thing NOT only for the U.S...NOT only for Israel...but for the
safety of the world as well.
