The Mitt Romney 2016 Rumor Mill is Alive and Well and doesn't seem to be letting up

Stoked by a few recent media appearances and a proposed reunion dinner with his 2012 campaign staff, the rumor mill is wondering if Mitt Romney may try for another run for the White House. Romney has been making the media rounds, appearing on twelve shows in the last six months. That, along with the recent news that Romney had planned a get-together for his 2012 campaign staff in Park City, Utah, was enough to get tongues wagging.
Romney has been a natural for TV news programs in light of Obama's total foreign policy failure with Russia and Vladimir Putin. Romney famously noted during the 2012 campaign that Obama's Russian policy was a bad one. More recently, he wrote a sort of "See, I told you so" editorial for The Wall Street Journal. But Romney has repeatedly said that he absolutely will not run for president again. This is in contrast to previous election cycles where he demurred from a "yes" or "no" answer until he made a firm decision.
Two years out, he continues to firmly say that he will not run. One suspects that with Romney, "no" likely means just that. Still, the tongues continue to wag about a 2016 Romney run. In fact, when his WSJ piece came out, Time magazine political analyst Mark Halperin immediately tweeted that the article may be a harbinger of a 2016 run. Even the National Journal says that Romney is the 2016 front runner.

Love it. If nothing else, Romney is in a great position to help this year, not only with fundraising, but with campaigning and articulating our message. He seems to be getting more and more beloved by Republicans, and even many in the MSM, grudgingly admitting he's the real deal. There's no doubt, he's the defacto leader of the party.

Mark DeMoss, adviser to Romney who is well connected with evangelicals, said that he would help Bush — but that if Bush doesn’t run, he will sit out the 2016 campaign.

“I think he is a talented, credible, thinking leader,” DeMoss said. “The question is, how much appetite is there in the Republican Party and in the general electorate for that?”

Bush said Sunday he remains undecided and remains wary of the “vortex” of mudslinging in national politics.

Bosman, why don't you like Jeb again? I can't remember. Thanks.

Bush meeting with Southern Baptist leaders this week. Ha ha. Well, as a Catholic, at least he's not as bad as a Mormon.

Jeb gave us JOHN MCCain in 08.

Jeb endorsed Romney in name only. During the Florida Primary, Charlie Crist shadowed McCain every time McCain was in Florida campaigning

Jeb was NO WHERE TO BE FOUND for Romney.

Never 'physically' campaigned with Romney there. Jeb was still very popular and probably would have made a difference.

I COULD NEVER SUPPORT HIM FOR DOING NOTHING THERE FOR ROMNEY other than lending him a couple of advisers.

It was ALL OVER after Romney lost in Florida to McCain in 08

JEB BUSH SUCKS!!!

Get over it.

RM,

"Get over it."

Nothing to get over.

Jeb has a CHARACTER FLAW that disqualifies him from any support from me.

That's all.

I don't know if the 'RM' was meant for me, but I never posted the 'get over it' remark!

Maybe... just maybe the rumor won't go away because he(Romney) is still the best candidate we have.

And short of Romney running again, the 2016 field is looking really weak.

I hope Romney does run again. He may well be our best chance.

Bosman, oh yeah, sorry, I forgot about Bush's tepid support for Mitt. Now both Jeb and Christie expect to be supported! Ha ha! Like I said before, I hope Mitt Romney gets the last laugh.

It's great the way support for Mitt is slowly, organically growing. Could actually turn into something powerful. And lets face it, some people are dense, and it takes them a while for precious truths to sink in.

Unfortunately, eight years of Obama cannot be reversed; even by a real leader like Romney. The 47% and their liberal masters will fight tooth and nail to keep what they have gained. Eventually we will see economic collapse, civil unrest if not civil war, and revolution. Assuming that the Chinese and Russians don't manage to annex the Americas in the meantime.

^^^^ The country may indeed falter... but we will try our best to not let allow that to happen.

IMO, we still have a chance... but that window is narrowing.

We MUST Win 2016 !!!! And we MUST have a real leader.... we MUST have Romney !!!!!
