Paul Ryan on Immigration Reform: "If we can get security first, No Amnesty, BEFORE ANYTHING HAPPENS, we think that's a good approach" (Full video 02-02-14)

In an interview on ABC's 'This Week', Ryan talked about issues that included the President's misuse of Executive Orders, Chris Christie and Bridgegate, a Budget Battle, and the Pope.

WHAT STOOD OUT were His comments on Immigration. It sounds like he's saying  Immigration will ONLY BE DEBATED this year but nothing concrete will happen. If this is true, I'll be a happy camper. By doing it THIS WAY,  it would keep the focus on Obamacare and at the same time keep Democrats from claiming the GOP is unwilling to tackle Immigration reform. We'll soon find out if my hunch is correct.

Below is the full interview:

The problem with the Boehner/Ryan approach to immigration reform is that they still insist on a path to citizenship - without first returning to their native countries and getting in line to immigrate here - for tens of millions of illegal aliens, 80-90% of whom will become lifelong knee-jerk DEMOCRATS(according to polls), creating a permanent liberal/progressive/Marxist majority in America.

That's a complete NONSTARTER with the vast majority of Republican & Independent voters.

The devil is in the details, and the details of the Boehner/Ryan immigration plan include fast-track citizenship for the tens of millions of illegal aliens already here, AND fast-track citizenship for their tens of millions of family members & relatives still living in Latin America.

Ryan can talk all he wants about "security first" and "no amnesty", but that's all it is - JUST TALK.

Like the saying goes - "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig."

It's not happening so don't get all worked up about it.
