OBAMACARE FIASCO: Frustrated Patients walk out of Hospitals without Treatment

Hospital staff in Northern Virginia are turning away sick people on a frigid Thursday morning because they can't determine whether their Obamacare insurance plans are in effect.
Patients in a close-in DC suburb who think they've signed up for new insurance plans are struggling to show their December enrollments are in force, and health care administrators aren't taking their word for it.
In place of quick service and painless billing, these Virginians are now facing the threat of sticker-shock that comes with bills they can't afford.
'They had no idea if my insurance was active or not!' a coughing Maria Galvez told MailOnline outside the Inova Healthplex facility in the town of Springfield.
She was leaving the building without getting a needed chest x-ray.
'The people in there told me that since I didn't have an insurance card, I would be billed for the whole cost of the x-ray,' Galvez said, her young daughter in tow. 'It's not fair – you know, I signed up last week like I was supposed to.'
The x-ray's cost, she was told, would likely be more than $500.

Those of us who are Right Wing extremists and even quasi-Right Wing extremist warned that this would happen, but not enough people listened. Mr. Cruz and company are looking rather good now.

Say it ain't so, Ohio Joe! Don't tell me you're going to fall for Cruz! I admit, the field isn't too hot. But Cruz is a non-starter. Of all the possibles, he would do the worst, IMO.

Not defending Onotgoodcare, but why are people not understanding that they have deductibles to satisfy first before their insurance will kick in?

There is only a short list of no co-pay/deductible services included in their policies and I'm pretty sure a visit to the ER and the ancillary services are not on the list. Cripes even the Platinum Plan(HMO equivalent) has a deductible and co-pay plus coinsurance, which was never part of the traditional HMO's.

HMO's generally only had co-pays, no deductibles or co-insurance so if you are blessed to be healthy and carrying anything less than the Platinum Plan, you will be paying for your healthcare out of your own pocket for the forseeable future because of the deductibles and co-insurance, except for the short list of required services.

Where and when have you ever bought anything at this financial cost that you couldn't use????

I couldn't agree more, Ohio Joe. Ted Cruz was the canary in the coal mine regarding Obamacare. He did everything he could to stop this disaster, this train wreck, this nightmare dead in its tracks. He has nothing to apologize for. He can hold his head high. His Dem-RINO colleagues in Washington, NOT SO MUCH.
