Mike Huckabee 2016?

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a 2008 GOP presidential candidate turned media personality, is looking at another bid for the presidency, this time backed by ministers eager to put an evangelical into the White House.
Huckabee will test the waters when he returns home to Little Rock, Ark., December 12-13 to address the Arkansas Renewal Project, part of evangelical organizer David Lane's American Renewal Project. Huckabee had the support of pastors in his 2008 fight against eventual winner Sen. John McCain.
Among the potential candidates looking at a GOP bid, Huckabee is closest to the pastors. He is a social conservative who can quote the Bible as easy as former President Bill Clinton.
According to reports, pastors from Iowa and South Carolina — two key political states early in the GOP primary season — are meeting with Huckabee during the convention to urge him to run.

Well, he is in about 7th place in terms of popularity of 2 dozen candidates talked about by various polling companies.

I personally don't think he'll run. He'd have to give up the Fox Gig and his Radio program...NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

Although I've been known to be wrong once or twice before....hahaha...

His radio program is ending due to low ratings. But I still don't think he can afford to give up his Fox program given his big mortgage payment.

The chances of him running are probably less than 50%, but than again, most of the 2 or 3 dozen candidates talked about won't get far beyond the Iowa straw poll either, so until he says he is not running, I for one am tracking his popularity along with at leat another dozen candidates.

a) Agree with the comments regarding a low probability that he will run (depends upon his FOX gig imo, although an open presidential election could help a fence sitter)

b) Despite all the 'Cruz et al will slam attack ads at him with regard to the dubious decision to release the repeating criminal when Gov of Arkansas, which may be so, but he would still garner votes and those would be taken from the more conservative candidates running.
c) A huck running- no matter what his actual voting tally ended up being, would still be good news for a Christie- type candidate

Personally, I have never experienced that occurrence.

David Lane - the ant-Mormon who tried to derail Romney because of his faith, not once, but twice? GAG

Come on Huckabee, we thought you learned from your mistakes last time. Please don't give these bigots another platform.

And yeah, he ain't runnin. This is just to keep his fans on board, like Palin does from time to time.

"like Palin does from time to time." And Romney.

Playing of the Mormon card (again) is prohibited on Wednesday.

OJ, Romney has not teased anyone with running again. At least not that I am aware of.

"Romney has not teased anyone with running again." Not every single pundit agrees, but more importantly, he teased us with claiming to be able to beat Mr. Obama and take back the Senate for the GOP. That really worked out well after the first debate.

OJ, I'm not even going to try to explain why what you said is so whack. I'm just going to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, safe and prosperous New Year. :-)

Palin hasn't talked about running in '16, and I have no doubt that she seriously considered running in '12. Huckabee seems to be making a career out of this.

Huck is higher than 7th place. The polls I've seen; he is in the top 3. He knows how to talk the BS. The floating cross returns.

I'll vote for Mike Huckabee.
