Single Young Adults Are Picking Up The Tab For ObamaCare (Scary Chart)

The Heritage Foundation has done a fantastic job of illustrating two things.

First, the vast majority of Americans will not enjoy the "savings" on health care premiums that we were promised repeatedly by Barack Obama and the entire Democrat Party.

Secondly, single, young adults are getting hosed.

Actually, all age groups are taking it in the shorts, but if you're 27 and single (a likely Obama supporter), you're footing the majority of the bill! Isn't that great?

Who will you be voting for next time?

Indeed, this couple seem to look very miserable with their 'savings'

""It’s a great deal. I’m thrilled to have coverage, period," said Sherburne, who was previously shut out of affordable insurance due to a pre-existing condition, a shoulder injury. "Once I got onto the site it took about an hour, start to finish.""

"After tax credits, the Sherburnes will pay just $123 a month."

As you stated:

btw- where's the column that reads something like 'Before: If you had a pre-existing condition'

The value may have said 1000s or 'banned'

RM, In other words, OB is bankrupting the the system for Sherburne's shoulder. People like that guy, who gets massive subsidies due to a bunch of kids, and little income (probably creative tax avoidance in this instance) need to be offset by young, single healthy adults. It's NOT happening and it WON'T happen. They will choose to pay the tax fine.

Turns out only 504 people have purchased a policy in Minnesota thus far, and most of those were already eligible for government assistance. Minnesota hasn't has the web troubles that other states and the federal site have had.

Apparently, you're not able to find out which doctors are in the networks of the various plans yet! LOL.

I still don't get why some people think that pre-existing condition insurers are getting a deal here. They HAVE TO PAY upwards of $10,000 ***yearly*** in deductibles BEFORE any insurance kicks in. What makes you think *ANYONE* who couldn't afford insurance before, or were denied insurance because of a pre-existing condition, can afford to spend $10,000 a year before the insurance kicks in?

Pre-existing conditions. OK. If I'm at the roulette table, can I wait until the ball lands before I put my bet down? Yeah, it sucks to not have health insurance when you need it, but you CHOSE to buy the 60" TV instead of putting your money down.
