CNN and NBC Cave to the RNC Threat to Pull Out of their 2016 Debates

A lot of folks were criticizing Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus for threatening to cut CNN and NBC out of the 2016 Debates if they aired a Hillary Clinton Bios during a critical period of the 2016 elections.

Regardless of what CNN/NBC claims, the results are the same...NO Hillary Documentary or mini-series.

CNN Films is canceling its highly anticipated documentary about Hillary Clinton after director Charles H. Ferguson backed away from the project on Monday, citing a lack of participants due to pressure from Clinton-world. 

"Charles Ferguson has informed us that he is not moving forward with his documentary about Hillary Clinton," CNN Worldwide spokesperson Allison Gollust told POLITICO. "Charles is an Academy Award-winning director who CNN Films was excited to be working with, but we understand and respect his decision." 

"[W]e won't seek other partners and are not proceeding with the film," she wrote.

In a blog post on The Huffington Post, Ferguson said that pressure from Clinton aides and supporters, as well as the Republican National Committee, cast a chilling effect on potential sources and interview subjects. 

"When I approached people for interviews, I discovered that nobody, and I mean nobody, was interested in helping me make this film," Ferguson wrote. "Not Democrats, not Republicans — and certainly nobody who works with the Clintons, wants access to the Clintons, or dreams of a position in a Hillary Clinton administration. Not even journalists who want access, which can easily be taken away."

NBC Entertainment has cancelled its highly anticipated dramatic miniseries about Hillary Clinton after intense pressure from Clinton aides and supporters, as well as the Republican National Committee. 

"After reviewing and prioritizing our slate of movie/miniseries development, we’ve decided that we will no longer continue developing the Hillary Clinton miniseries,” the network said in a statement Monday.
