Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) questioned Secretary of State John Kerry during today’s Senate Foreign Relations Committee Hearing over using military action against Syria. Sen. Paul stated that the power to use military force lies with Congress, not the president
He raised doubt over whether Israel and the region will be safer with or without an attack, and if Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will be more or less likely to use chemical weapons after a strike. “I think it’s equally likely that he either does it again or he doesn’t do it.
