Poll: VA Gov Bob McDonnell's Numbers hold steady (included Video 08-22-13)

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell is viewed as slightly less “honest and trustworthy” than earlier this summer, but a new poll shows ongoing coverage of a controversy over gifts he and his family received from a donor has not made a significant difference in his approval since last month.
Voters split 42 percent to 41 percent on whether McDonnell is honest and trustworthy, down from a 44 percent to 36 percent divide in his favor in July, according to the Quinnipiac poll released Thursday.
Still, 47 percent of voters approve of the job McDonnell is doing as governor, while 39 percent disapprove, virtually unchanged from the 46 percent to 37 percent record-low approval rating McDonnell registered in the July iteration of the poll.
