Op-ed: Egypt alone will decide its fate

Op-ed:
Egypt alone will decide its fate
By: Diane Sori

So now it seems that things aren’t going too well in Egypt as Cairo descends into chaos…as Egypt is on the verge of becoming a failed state…and Obama and his outward support for the Muslim Brotherhood built this.

Today, the Egyptian military rulers declared a month-long state of emergency along with a nighttime curfew…Obama of course condemning both…after 149 people were killed when government security forces took control of Muslim Brotherhood protest camps.

And while outwardly the Muslim Brotherhood is whining that the military is using snipers and tanks against peaceful protesters, in actuality the protesters are anything but peaceful as their leaders are mobilizing their supporters to fight against the military ‘for the sake of islam’…as in this is a holy war…this is jihad.

Another Arab Spring turned Arab Winter that could turn back into an Arab Spring...if Obama butts out.

And it’s about time that Obama supported Muslim Brotherhood ‘puppet’ President Morsi and his followers understand that he will NOT be re-instated as president, period. And it’s way passed time for the Muslim Brotherhood itself to go, and government security forces are assuring just that as they continue arresting not just top leaders but also mid-level leaders, for it’s been made clear that once secular Egypt will NOT become an islamic state.

And of course some in the international community have denounced the current wave of violence…violence fueled NOT only by the Muslim Brotherhood but by Hamas as well. In fact, UK Foreign Secretary William Hague said he was “deeply concerned at the escalating violence”.

“I condemn the use of force in clearing protests and call on the security forces to act with restraint,” he said.

And while the Obama administration continues to avoid calling the overthrow of Morsi a ‘coup’…which would result in an automatic Congressional ban on US aid to the Egyptian military government now in control…Obama’s people are bloviating what they think are forceful words to condemn the growing violence.

“The US strongly condemns the use of violence against protesters in Egypt,” said White House deputy press secretary Josh Earnest. “We have repeatedly called on Egypt security forces to show restraint…just as we’ve urged protesters to demonstrate peacefully,” he said.

And Obama mouthpiece, Secretary of State John ‘Swiftboat' Kerry, continues to butt into Egypt’s business by spouting off that the events of the past few days were “deplorable” and “a real blow to reconciliation efforts” and that “violence and continued political polarization will further tear the Egyptian economy apart.”

What Egyptian economy…Morsi essentially destroyed any semblance of an economy during his year in office.

And these people…the likes of Obama, Kerry, and Hague… just do NOT understand that force is the only thing these Muslim Brotherhood barbarians understand. And while they might NOT like it, the Egyptian military rulers are doing exactly what they need to do to assure a final peace…for they are simply sending a powerful message to their opponents to give up. And ad hoc policy responses by the Obama administration and empty words by foreigners are NOT going to cut it anymore as sometimes force in the wake of violence is exactly what’s needed to end the violence.

This basic paradigm pervades political thought in Egypt right now where those in power will do whatever is needed to restore law and order. And anyway NOTHING Obama or his people say means anything for Obama is NOT respected anywhere in the Middle East…or elsewhere in the world for that matter.

And as Middle East politics in general, and Egyptian politics in specific, become more and more complicated with each passing day, the truth is that the Egyptian crisis is indeed mostly of Obama’s doing for the man who in June 2009 was in Cairo extolling the virtues of democracy, freedom, and human rights did just the opposite when he supported the Muslim Brotherhood both with rhetoric and with military equipment (the F-16s and Abrams tanks). The Muslim Brotherhood...a group of thugs who ‘won’ an election the same way he did…through fraud and ballot tampering.

And Obama’s support of thugs sent a powerful message to the Egyptian people that the American government was NOT on their side.

So failed policies…wrong sides taken…and hair-splitting over the word ‘coup’…all show Washington’s impotency in regards to Egypt…all show that it will be up to the Egyptian people themselves to decide their own future…their own destiny…as the violence will likely continue for some time NO matter what words are said…NO matter if Obama continues the military aid or NOT…for Egypt is at the crossroads of freedom if only Barack HUSSEIN Obama gets out of their way.
