GUN FREE ZONE: 8 Shot in 4 Hours in Chicago (Auto-on Audio)

At least eight people were wounded in shootings over four hours from the Cabrini Green neighborhood on the Near North Side to the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side. 
The most seriously injured were a man shot in the head and a woman shot in the chest in separate attacks. They were listed in critical condition early Friday morning. 
Around 9:45 p.m., a 31-year-old man was shot in the Cabrini Green homes blocks from North Michigan Avenue. He was sitting on a fence in the 900 block of North Cambridge Avenue with friends when someone shot toward him, Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
About the same time, two men were shot in the 11200 block of South Normal Avenue in the Roseland neighborhood. A 24-year-old man was shot in the left leg and a 48-year-old man was hit in the left leg. The younger man was taken to Roseland Hospital, and the older man to Metro South Medical Center, both stable.
