President Obama and the IRS Scandal are getting so close..I think I can hear his heart beating

H/T Martha
The Obama appointee implicated in congressional testimony in the IRS targeting scandal met with President Obama in the White House two days before offering his colleagues a new set of advice on how to scrutinize tea party and conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status.
IRS chief counsel William Wilkins, who was named in House Oversight testimony by retiring IRS agent Carter Hull as one of his supervisors in the improper targeting of conservative groups, met with Obama in the Roosevelt Room of the White House on April 23, 2012. Wilkins’ boss, then-IRS commissioner Douglas Shulman, visited the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on April 24, 2012, according to White House visitor logs.
On April 25, 2012, Wilkins’ office sent the exempt organizations determinations unit “additional comments on the draft guidance” for approving or denying tea party tax-exempt applications, according to the IRS inspector general’s report.
Between 2010 and 2012, the IRS sent letters demanding groups’ training materials, personal information on groups’ donors and college interns, and even the content of a religious group’s prayers.
Wilkins’ meeting with Obama on April 23 was attended by 13 people.

This is getting about as close as you can get without the proof of Obama actually authorizing/directing the plan to target Conservative groups and Romney donors and supporters.

I have to wonder if they still record all meetings of Presidents like they did President Nixon. If yes, it's time for Congress to somehow demand that those recordings are not altered/deleted/missing.

We need a special prosecutor to criminally charge IRS officials directly involved in this scandal, and then grant them a plea bargain for spilling the beans on Obama. Standard operating procedure for prosecutors trying to reel in "the big fish".

For example - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dean - this is how the Democrats brought President Richard Nixon down.

Just read the OPENING PARAGRAPH of my wikipedia link.

There is no will among the media to expose what happened here. So even if Congress somehow manages to get to the bottom (or TOP) of it, it's going to be hard to actually make the American people care. Hard to believe, but true! That is the sorry state of affairs right now, and Obama takes full advantage of it.

I just hope his hubris gets the best of him someday. He's been able to get away with everything so far, but it may not always be the case. We can only hope.

Martha -

There's plenty of UNREGULATED, INDEPENDENT MEDIA on the internet - World Net Daily, The Western Center For Journalism, English Pravda - that are exposing Obama's scandals, corruption and high crimes in full detail.

The real problem is the HEAVILY REGULATED, NOT INDEPENDENT MEDIA on television & radio - CBSNBCABCCNNFOX - where the vast majority of Americans get their "news" from, that continue to cover up, mislead and lie for Obama, just like they did for Bill Clinton when he was president.

That's why our nation's Founding Fathers created the First Amendment PROHIBITION of government-suppressed(or promoted) speech - a prohibition that has been COMPLETELY VIOLATED AND TRAMPLED UPON by the Federal Communications Commission's command-and-control authority over the entire broadcasting industry since 1934.

The Founders knew firsthand the fatal consequences of government-suppressed speech - fatal consequences that our nation is experiencing firsthand today.

FYI, Martha has in the past doubted alternate "unorthodox" news sources. One beauty of freedom is that it allows the truth to come out. Independent people are not on a leash, and often can share valuable information.

People ought to remain suspicious of authority since most have a hard time grappling with unrighteous dominion.

John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton, first Baron Acton (1834–1902). The historian and moralist, who was otherwise known simply as Lord Acton, expressed this opinion in a letter to Bishop Mandell Creighton in 1887:

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Good points indeed, and there's no better example of Lord Acton's proverb than this country's fraudulent, corrupt, unconstitutional State Run Media - CBSNBCABCCNNFOX - that still dominates the news cycle, despite inroads from alternative news sources on the internet.
