Divided We Cannot Stand

The only thing in which this administration has been truly transparent is this: its attempts to divide Americans and to incite powerful emotions to get the legislation it wants. From using Hurricane Sandy to accuse climate change deniers of causing deaths and destruction, to using a self-defense case in Florida to accuse all gun owners of racism.

This very questionable tethering of a disaster or tragedy to one political stance is, at its root, DIVISIVE.

The overwhelming majority of climate change deniers were just as saddened by Hurricane Sandy's destructive path as were climate change activists. We just give God a little more credit than we give man when it comes to the weather. The overwhelming majority of gun owners are just as saddened by the reality/prospect of having to use their guns in self-defense as those who oppose the 2nd amendment are. Even the tough-talkers don't really want to have to pull the trigger on another human being, and only would if their lives or family's lives were threatened.

STAND TOGETHER against the powers that be who are purposely trying to divide us during times of CRISIS when we should be PULLING TOGETHER! For just a moment after 9/11 we did pull together to grieve a great tragedy in our nation and in the world. The divisive powers watched our humble unity and said, "We must not let that happen again." Ever since then, each and every national tragedy has been punctuated IMMEDIATELY by divisive attacks, sometimes coming straight from the president's pulpit. It. is. insane.

America was founded as a nation of moral people who believe in freedom and love, and that humanity's liberties were given by a higher power and are therefore not to be given and taken by human governments.

That belief still unifies the majority of Americans of all stripes.

But those who would take away our human liberties--in order to determine our fates, our information, our goals, and our beliefs--continue to oppress us by pitting us against each other so we can't rise up against THEM.

Who is THEM?

Anybody who tells you you should hate your neighbor for his beliefs. Reject those voices. LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR.

Incredible and wonderful message: the truth.

CRUZ COUNTRY said...

The real battle is not between Republican politicians and Democrat politicians, whose similarities tower over their differences.

The real battle is between Washington DC and the rest of the country, between the ruling class and their subjects, We The People.

We The People must TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY from the politicians, judges, bureaucrats, lobbyists and media who've commandeered it.

Newark, yes but how. That's the problem. It's almost like there is nothing we can do.

Even if we do manage to retake the senate and win the presidency, we are still lost, because corruption rules in DC. If people like Wiener and Spitzer can show their faces in public, and win office, it's hopeless.
