IRS Scandal: for 27 Months Tea Party Groups sat in limbo While Liberal and Progressive Groups had their Tax-exempt applications approved

In February 2010, the Champaign Tea Party in Illinois received approval of its tax-exempt status from the IRS in 90 days, no questions asked.
That was the month before the Internal Revenue Service started singling out Tea Party groups for special treatment. There wouldn't be another Tea Party application approved for 27 months.
In that time, the IRS approved perhaps dozens of applications from similar liberal and progressive groups, a USA TODAY review of IRS data shows.

I have been bookmarking so many articles the last few days that I had to create sub-folders for my "Obama scandals" folder. I am still a strong Huckabee supporter and a strong FairTax supporter. Maybe now more people will want to get rid of the IRS. The FairTax takes power away from the government and lobbyists and gives that power back to the people.

I think many people would love to get rid of the IRS, but so many people don't understand that it us actually possible, and they equate high income with wealth. It is probably the people in gov't who are least inclined to overhaul the tax code; then they lose the power of trying to control behavior. I want the tax code changed but am having a hard time believing that they will really get rid of what we have now. They usually just add taxes...

You probably already know all this, but I feel better writing it down. Thanks for putting up with me, guys.:-)

Also, there is no way all of this stuff wasn't significant in an election year. No doubt it hurt Mitt and Republicans across the board. It's called cheating made worse by using my tax dollars to do it!
