U.S. Supreme Court Might Consider Concealed Weapons

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that Americans have a right to keep loaded guns at home. Now it may decide whether—and to what extent—there's a right to take them out and about.
On Friday, the court is expected to consider whether to hear an appeal from a handful of New York residents whose applications for licenses to carry concealed weapons in public were turned down.
Most states readily allow their residents to carry guns outside the home, and many have passed laws this year making it easier to take them to work, to church or to college. But a number of states, including New York, have tougher hurdles that have been upheld in recent months by the federal courts.
