Politico: Amnesty Bill Would Produce Electoral Bonanza for Democrats

What a fraud Marco Rubio has turned out to be....
The immigration proposal pending in Congress would transform the nation’s political landscape for a generation or more — pumping as many as 11 million new Hispanic voters into the electorate a decade from now in ways that, if current trends hold, would produce an electoral bonanza for Democrats and cripple Republican prospects in many states they now win easily.......

Yes, I linked this article on the chat earlier.
However, if Rubio is a fraud, what about the others who support it in one way or another? Is 'everyone's *hero* Ryan a fraud, as he supports it (in one way or another), ditto R. Paul? I'd like to see the Ryan lovers in here (Ryan lovers by default, as Romney picked him as VP)spout the same rhetoric at him. If you support it (in one way or another, as many (Ryan. Rand Paul do)), aren't you a 'fraud' too?

The implications are scary if millions of Hispanics are pumped into the electorate. Personally I hope it fails in congress.

So is *hero* Ryan a 'fraud' too?

Source: CNN

"Ryan voiced a divergent view Monday, saying a pathway to legality was essential in any repair of the immigration system.

"We have to offer people a path the earned legalization," Ryan said. "We have to invite people to come out of the shadows. We have to have a system that people have confidence in. It's a system where people who have been contributing here can right their record, can get themselves right with the law.""

I'm focusing on Rubio, because he is the face of the bill. He has been tasked with winning over the right. If the others go along with it, they will also be culpable, but Rubio is driving the bus for Obama.

The thing is that Sen. Rubio wants to convert Hispanic Democrats to conservatism. He explains this to Rush Limbaugh (look it up on youtube), that many of their social stances line up with ours and all that remains is convincing them that capitalism is a better idea than socialism. This lesson is best taught when they can enjoy all the privileges of capitalism which they presently cannot as an indentured class. Democrats will lose their hold over them when these people are brought into the light and pay taxes to earn their way into the system. It's the whole "skin in the game" argument. So that's where he is coming from. This makes him not a Judas, but an optimist. Since this is likely to pass, I guess time will tell if he is right or if those sounding the alarm are right. I have to hope.

lol at Right wingnut's comment: "I'm focusing on Rubio, because he is the face of the bill. " So if Rubio tells another to jump in a fire, then they are made to? lol. If someone don't support it (i.e, not apparently 'a fraud'), then what they do is this: they act something called a grown up adult and say 'I don't support it'. I'm not a big T.Cruz fan, but he said he's not for it. Called 'being an adult'. If Rubio's a 'fraud', then by definition, so is anyone else that supports it. Including *hero* Ryan, R.Paul etc. NOt *I* don't think of them as frauds, but it is interesting how certain people can cherry pick how is a 'fraud' or not.
Cite again *hero* Ryan's view:

"We have to offer people a path the earned legalization," Ryan said. "We have to invite people to come out of the shadows. We have to have a system that people have confidence in. Did Rubio make him jump in the fire too? :-)

KATRINA: .........because it worked so well when Reagan did it. Obama will get the credit in the Hispanic community, and the Democrats will always promise more free stuff.

RomneyMan: I believe I was clear in my last comment. Nobody gets a pass for supporting this. Rubio is the face of the in the right, and has resorted to left wing style talking points. Furthermore, Ryan has never been a "hero" of mine. His record is checkered with questionable votes.....auto bailouts, TARP, confiscatory 90% AIG bonus tax, etc. He does not get a pass from me.

Until they secure the border FIRST, I don't want the status of the illegals changing at all.

They can continue to live in the shadows until the border is secure.

In the mean time, while we're securing the border, we can MAKE SURE there are no new arrivals.

Rubio, Ryan, Boehner, McConnell, Preibus & Company are Trojan horse Republicans who are far more interested in pandering to Hispanics, Big Business and the State Run Media than they are in reversing our nation's long, steady, painful decline.

The GOP is in desperate need of new leadership.

A fish rots from the head down.

The millions of low income uneducated illegal hispanic immigrants in the shadows will always vote for the Democrats. The majority of these people have been indoctrinated by LA Raza and they truly believe that the South western part of the US belongs to them and Mexico..they will never fall in line with Rubio's conservative America.

Rubio,Ryan,Bush,Boehner,Graham and McCain are all falling in lock step with big business special interests and not the average American worker. I hope this bill fails.

I agree with Rand Paul's and Charles Krauthammer's approach where you pass reform in phases. Phase 1,border security and enforcement with benchmarks in place to measure success. This in itself would take more than a year. They should also work with the border states governors and ICE Agents to determine if security requirements are being met.
You can not move on to the next phase until phase 1 is complete.

If the government is going to grant legal status to illegals then those who receive legal status, should never be given the right to vote in a US election since they broke the law by illegally entering the country. If the GOP was smart they would include voter ID as a requirement for voting for all US citizens within the bill. They should also propose legislation to do end the anchor baby clause.

One other thing that I found very troubling was how the Gang of 8 refused to meet with ICE agents when crafting bill. If border security and enforcement was so important as Rubio states then why did he and the rest of the gang refuse to meet with ICE union officials. These guys were begging to be involved in the process and were ignored by the gang.

I am so disappointed with Rubio and Ryan...they are nothing but bought and paid for career politicians!!!!!!

Hispanic-Americans HEAVILY support Democrats for the same reason that black Americans do - THEY LOVE THE FREE STUFF!!!

That's not going to change as long as their high school/college dropout rates and out-of-wedlock birth rates remain at sky-high levels, condemning so many of them to lifelong poverty and dependence on government assistance programs.

Furthermore, it is a COMPLETE MYTH that Hispanic-Americans are socially conservative, as poll after poll after poll shows that they favor gay marriage and abortion rights by a 2-to-1 margin.

Anyone who thinks that GOP opposition to comprehensive amnesty is the only thing standing in the way of more support from Hispanic-American voters is fooling themselves, or trying to fool Republicans.
