Mitt Romney was proven right again

This time about Fisker:
Fisker Automotive -- the electric-car maker that was granted a half-billion-dollar federal loan and on Friday dismissed about 75 percent of its remaining workforce -- is purportedly facing a lawsuit from the same firm that sued the government-funded Solyndra company.
Fisker laid off 160 of its roughly 210 employees Friday morning from its Anaheim, Calif., location, according to Automotive News.
Employees told the publication they were given no severance pay besides compensation for unused vacation days.

All Republicans were proven right.

Unfortunately, Romney's superior business experience and knowledge were completely overshadowed by his frequent gaffes, such as "let Detroit go bankrupt", "I like to fire people","let the housing market bottom out", "I'm not concerned about poor people" and "47% of Americans" are slackers, moochers and takers.

Whether those comments are true or not, you simply can't say those type of things and expect to win a presidential election.

Democratic candidates may be able to get away with those remarks, but Republican candidates certainly can't.

We all know about the State Run Media's huge double-standard when it comes to covering the two political parties.

Romney should've known about it too.

Frankly, this should just be its own category...constantly updated.

For the record, Mitt Romney did NOT say that about Detroit. He wrote an intelligent op-ed for a newspaper, and that was the title the newspaper gave it. I believe this was the article even David Letterman expressed his disappointment that Pres. Obama lied about.

Of course, the media were responsible for both the title and the constant use of it. I suppose Romney could have not written op-eds, but I'm not sure he could have controlled the headlines for them, unfortunately...

Yeah, Mitt Romney was such a crappy candidate. Michelle Bachmann would have been sooo much better . . .

@ AZ

Romney submitted his op-ed to a liberal rag - The New York Times - knowing in advance that the newspaper's highly partisan editors would give his article a title of their own choosing.

If Romney thought they would give his op-ed a fair title, he was sadly mistaken, and incredibly naive as well.

Romney should only have submitted his op-ed ON THE CONDITION that he would have final approval of its title.

If the newspaper rejected that condition, tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine, then find another newspaper to publish it ON HIS TERMS, not their terms.

There would've been plenty of newspapers eager to do so.

@ Martha

I'm not sure how strong a presidential nominee Michele Bachmann would've been, but she would've been a helluva lot stronger vice presidential nominee than Paul Ryan was.

Romney would NOT have lost the female vote by 12 points, and 5 to 10 million social conservatives would NOT have stayed home on November 6th, had she been Romney's running mate.

I'm damn sure of that.

Newark, that, I'm sorry, is utterly absurd. I am a social conservative, and I can't think of a worse VP choice than Bachmann, honestly.

We would have lost the female vote by 40 if Bachmann was on the ticket.

She could not have done any worse than Mr. Ryan. After all, he did not deliver any Midwestern states unless you want to give him credit for Indiana.

According to Michael Medved, the initial reports that conservatives stayed home are incorrect. Now that the votes haveactually been counted,we know that is simply not true. We did lose the black and hispanic vote, which hurt us. I haven't personally looked at all the numbers, but I think you might want too see what Michael's talking about before you plan your next Presidential election. Just sayin'.

As concerned conservatives you all need to stop quoting the liberal media. Romney ran as good a campaign as anyone. Here is an article about the real turn out numbers.
