Latest From North Korea

North Korea's nuclear weapon capabilities questioned:
North Korea is widely recognized as being years away from perfecting the technology to back up its bold threats of a pre-emptive strike on the United States. But some nuclear experts say it might have the know-how to fire a nuclear-tipped missile at South Korea and Japan, which host U.S. military bases.
No one can tell with any certainty how much technological progress North Korea has made, aside from perhaps a few people close to its secretive leadership. And it is highly unlikely that Pyongyang would launch such an attack, because the retaliation would be devastating.
WH Looks to Ratchet Back Rhetoric as North Korea Reportedly Moves Second Missile to East Coast:
There are reports that North Korea has moved a second medium-range missile to its east coast. With tensions escalating, the White House is looking to ratchet back its rhetoric in fear that it’s feeding the North’s belligerence.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney reacted to this latest move, saying in part, “We continue to closely monitor the situation on the peninsula threats and provocative actions will not bring the DPRK, the security, international respect, and economic development that it seeks.”
North Korea moves missile launchers, issues safety warning to foreign embassies:
As tensions continued to mount on the Korean peninsula, the communist dictatorship in the North deployed mid-range missile launchers to its east coast and reportedly warned foreign embassies Friday it cannot guarantee the safety of diplomats after April 10.
Reuters reported early Friday that North Korea deployed two of its intermediate range missiles on mobile launchers and hid them on the east coast of the country, citing a South Korean news agency.
