Pat Buchanan: “Gang of eight” Immigration Bill will fail, Rubio damaged goods

H/T Joel2012
On this weekend’s broadcast of “The McLaughlin Group,” conservative columnist and author of “Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?” Pat Buchanan said the bipartisan Senate immigration plan drafted by the so-called “gang of eight” will fail, damaging Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio’s chances of winning the White House.
“The path to citizenship in my judgment is going to fail,” Buchanan said. “It will certainly be stopped in the House, and I think Marco Rubio, who has gotten himself out front on it, will be badly damaged, because I think there’s going to be a rising populist reaction to his proposal.”

Pat Buchanan is absolutely correct.

80% of Americans, including 50% of Hispanic-Americans, OPPOSE amnesty for illegal immigrants

Rubio's amnesty bill is dead on arrival in the House of Representatives.

Any Republican Congressman who supports Rubio's bill will face a very serious primary challenge, and will be seriously hurt by decreased GOP turnout in the general election, if he/she is lucky enough to make it that far.

Rubio can get away with it because he represents a state with a very large Hispanic population, and also because he gets a TON of free publicity and promotion from the pro-amnesty mass media, including Fox and talk radio.

The vast majority of Republicans in the Senate and House aren't so lucky.

In the video excerpt, even the diehard liberal Eleanor Clift agrees with Pat Buchanan that Marco Rubio's amnesty bill is dead on arrival in Congress.
