Senators Joe Lieberman & Susan Collins: Findings on Benghazi

Former Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT), was chairman and Sen. Susan M. Collins (R-ME), is ranking member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Govermental Affairs, comment on their resently released findings on the Benghazi incident:
First, our report finds the threat level was “flashing red” in Libya, and Benghazi particularly, as Undersecretary of State for Management Patrick F. Kennedy told us. The thousands of pages of classified and unclassified documents we reviewed and interviews we conducted depict a crescendo of evidence from the intelligence community and State Department personnel on the ground saying, effectively, “This place is dangerous, and we’re not adequately protected.”
Second, the terrorists essentially walked into the compound unimpeded and set it ablaze because of the extremely poor security. This stark reality shaped our investigation as we sought to understand how each layer of security typical at diplomatic posts around the world broke down so completely and quickly in Benghazi. We believe the closed-circuit television video of the attack, which shows this failure in real time, should be released to the public, because it will make clear how unprepared the State Department was for this attack.

It's just too bad that no one cares. It makes me sick.

The two people most responsible for Benghazi are not being held accountable in the slightest degree. In fact, they are pretty much wildly popular.

Receiving 51% of the vote on November 6th is NOT "wildly popular".

That's the only poll that matters.

A lot more Americans would care about Benghazi if they knew about it.

But they don't know about it because OUR television and radio news media has made sure that they don't know about it.

I say "OUR" television and radio news media because the broadcast airwaves - a.k.a. the broadcast spectrum - are a scarce national resource and treasure which, by law, belongs to the American people.

But for the last 80 years, the airwaves have been ILLEGALLY & UNCONSTITUTIONALLY HIJACKED by Washington Democrats, aided and abetted by Washington RINOs.

That's the real outrage, the real scandal, the real abuse of power which Americans, especially conservative Americans, should be up in arms about.

Newark Hawk, so true.

And you are right, they are not wildly popular. Clinton is one of the most admired people, though, unfortunately.

I agree with Newark Hawk. I think that it is a mistake to say they weren't prepared. It looks more like a complete lack of will to stop the criminals.

A lack of will to stop the murderers. Clinton is more popular than ob, and yet he stole the dnc nomination with fraud. He usurps our national power.

But he's not popular. Low inauguration attendance this time.
