Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani spoke out about the newest gun laws to hit the state. The NY SAFE act is the first gun control measure passed since the Newtown school shooting.
Giuliani drew comparisons between Chicago and New York — both have strict gun laws, but Chicago has a much higher murder rate. “Here’s the answer,” he explained, “The answer is proactive policing. Meaning, doesn’t matter what gun control laws you have on the books, are you taking the guns out of the hands of the bad guys? Gun control affects the good guys.”
