A bipartisan group of eight senators announced their plan for immigration reform. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said they are aiming for immigration legislation by March and it is their hope that the Senate will pass it in late spring or summer.
Joined today by Senators John McCain (R-AZ), Dick Durbin (D-IL), Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Bob Menendez (D-NJ), Sen. Schumer said, “This bipartisan blueprint is a major breakthrough.”

My question is, does this new proposal firmly establish our country's sovereignty over its borders or not? If not, it's a dud. I thought about saying something snarky here about Sen. Menendez's motives in this but decided not to since it would be uncivil. You can imagine what I might say, though. Now we find out he is being investigated by the FBI for alleged illegal activities involving going hispanics--girls to be precise. ABC News knew before the election, but for done strange reason decided the voters would not be interested in knowing about it. Of course, in New Jersey the voters probably don't want to know. He's the right party. Everyone knows Republicans are mean, selfish and corrupt. Democrats can't be..even when they are...what's a body to do? She says in a voice heavily laced with sarcasm.....

The Menendez story is precisely what is wrong with this country right now.

Fading morality, irresponsible news media, power-hungry elected officials without remorse or conscience, and a public who just doesn't care.

Anyway, the man makes me sick to look at. He should be shunned, but in Washington they are all buddies, you know.
