Ryan strikes me as a loyal person. I can't see him being part of any plot to unseat a FRIEND...as much as I may like the idea.

John Boehner will soon be replaced as Speaker, but not by Paul Ryan.
Boehner and Ryan are close friends since the early 1990s when Ryan delivered yard signs for Boehner's Congressional campaign.
Having just lost the presidential election, and his home state to boot, Ryan would NOT be a wise choice for Speaker even if he wanted the job.
The GOP desperately needs new blood in its top leadership positions.
Conservative, charismatic and courageous new leadership.
