Hey Piers I think I know why you immigrated to America..

It's safer here.

It seems United Kingdom is a battle zone. Their street cops (bobbies) DO NOT CARRY FIREARMS. The average beat officer carries ONLY a baton, cuffs and CS gas/Parva.

Piers Morgan like's nothing better than to bad mouth our 2nd Amendment rights to bare arms. It has been nothing short of non-stop since the Newtown massacre. What he won't tell you is how UNSAFE it is back in Great Britain. It's SO BAD, that They're in FIRST PLACE IN VIOLENT CRIMES when it comes to comparing them to other European countries:
Britain's violent crime record is worse than any other country in the European union, it has been revealed.
Official crime figures show the UK also has a worse rate for all types of violence than the U.S. and even South Africa - widely considered one of the world's most dangerous countries.
[...]
The UK has the second highest overall crime rate in the EU.
It has a higher homicide rate than most of our western European neighbors, including France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
The UK has the fifth highest robbery rate in the EU.
It has the fourth highest burglary rate and the highest absolute number of burglaries in the EU, with double the number of offences than recorded in Germany and France.
How's this for a country where even their street cops carry no firearms?

Extensive country-by-country research by Second Amendment advocate John Lott has shown that tougher gun control laws NEVER result in lower national murder rates, but instead cause murder rates to rise or have no impact whatsoever.

Cultural differences between nations - different immigration cultures, different mental health cultures, different media cultures, different economic cultures, different religious cultures - have a lot more to do with their different murder rates than gun control laws do.
