Election 2012: Obama Overwhelmingly won the 'Religiously Unaffiliated' vote

The big demographic story out of the 2012 presidential election may have been President Obama's domination of the Hispanic vote, and rightfully so.
But as we close the book on the election, it bears noting that another less obvious bloc of key swing state voters helped the president win a second term.
They're the "nones" — that's the Pew Research Center's shorthand for the growing number of American voters who don't have a specific religious affiliation. Some are agnostic, some atheist, but more than half define themselves as either "religious" or "spiritual but not religious," Pew found in a recent survey
[...]
The religiously unaffiliated voters are almost as strongly Democratic as white evangelicals are Republican, polls show.
Their overwhelming support of Obama proved crucial in a number of swing states where the president lost both the Catholic and Protestant vote by single and low-double digits, but won the "nones" by capturing 70-plus percent of their votes.

Now why wasn't I surprised to learn that President Obama is loved by heathens the 'Religiously Unaffiliated'? It's to bad they didn't have poll takers during Nero's time. I'm sure he was popular with that crowd as well.

Would Obama have done so well among religiously unaffiliated voters if they knew about his countless rounds of golf and budget-busting family vacations while preaching "spread the wealth" and "everyone needs to have skin in the game"?

If they knew about Obama's relentless support of partial & post-birth abortion while he was a member of the Illinois Senate?

If they knew about Obama's deep ties to America-hating, Jew-hating Reverend Jeremiah Wright, domestic terrorist Bill Ayres, criminal slumlord Tony Resko, and the election-tampering, election-rigging community organizing group known as 'ACORN'?

If they knew about the bombshell findings of Sheriff Joe Arpaio's Cold Case Posse regarding Obama's forged birth certificate and selective service card?

If they knew about Obama's refusal to provide extra security & military support to our Benghazi consulate before and during the deadly terrorist attack on September 11th which killed Ambassador Stevens and 3 other Americans?

If they knew about a litany of other crimes, misdeeds and lies by Obama?

I find it hard to imagine that religiously unaffiliated voters, as well as the rest of the electorate, would have supported Obama nearly as much as they did if they knew the truth about him, the truth about Obama that 99% of the mass media made absolutely sure that the voters did not know.

newark, the religiously unaffiliated are more likely to be atheists, who are mostly either liberal or libertarian. i understand us not getting the liberal voters, but we have to find a way to reach the libertarian voter.

"Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people, who have a right, from the frame of their nature, to knowledge, as their great Creator, who does nothing in vain, has given them understandings, and a desire to know; but besides this, they have a right, an indisputable, unalienable, indefeasible, divine right to that most dreaded and envied kind of knowledge; I mean, of the characters and conduct of their rulers."~John Adams, Dissertation on the Canon and Feudal Law, 1765
