Yes, the gimme, gimme crowd seems to becoming a larger constituency by the hour.

I'm still waiting for an analysis of why Romney got nearly 2 million fewer votes than the 2008 ticket. I'm hoping we eventually get exit poll data that indicates how many 2008 Obama voters showed up to vote for Romney. That would give us a pretty good idea of how many McCain/Palin voters stayed home. I would guess it's somewhere North of 5 million.

Who are these people? Are they Evangelicals? Anti-Mormon? Ron Paulians? What? It just doesn't make sense given how shitty Obama's record is.

In 2008, people were "fainting" at Obama's rallies, and he had no record to defend, yet McCain got more votes?

A lot of truth here unfortunately.

Gentlemen yes, much truth. This needs to be identified. If these folks stayed home, then it needs to be quantified. If it's something else, then it's even worse.

Considering the stakes here and the issues in the campaign, the result does not seem to follow what should have been an easy victory. I hope someone does a study on all this.

This is what the American voters rejected for the Obama regime. Sad.

I have a feeling a large part of the voters that "stayed home" were the military voters who didn't receive their ballots. The numbers of Military people who didn't receive their absentee ballots this year is staggering. Someone dropped the ball, I'm just wondering if it was by design or if they were just too busy running Obama's campaign for him to get the ballots out in a timely manner.

Rush Limbaugh is a big reason we lost. I remember it clear as day, him saying Romney was not a "conservative". I thought at the time - this is going to hurt turnout. This was said many times during the primaries and apparently some socons were listening because turnout was down.

The only other explanation is that libertarian minded people stayed home. If it comes out for sure that socons stayed home, that does not bode well for future elections in which economic conservatives will be needed for votes.

Both SoCons and FiCons are needed for votes. We cannot lose either one on a regular basis.

Romney lost because the party was not behind him 100%..Obama's base came out, Romney's did not. When you have disruptions like Noonan, Scarborough, Kristol etc saying what a horrible campaign Romney is running, guys like Akin and Mourdock killing the women vote, Christie giving last minute praise to Obama for "doing what he's suppose to as president?... hes gonna lose...

Repubs stayed home...
