The Two Faces Of Sarah Palin At The 2012 National Republican Convention

Today, Sarah Palin was on Fox News and she answered a question posed to her on twitter of "whether the viewer should vote at all if she doesn't like the candidates" by telling the person to vote for Mitt Romney.
However, Sarah Palin doesn't seem to be following her own advice since there is evidence that she is trying to make a brokered convention. In fact, there is a new report coming out today from the Ron Paul Delegates at the GOP Convention that Sarah Palin is trying to pull Ron Paul supporters into voting for her in the event that the desired brokered convention occurs:
Sara Palin is in town and playing games, she is trying to steal the nomination, she sent out packets to all of the delegates asking them to vote for her if there is a brokered convention and she is trying to cause a brokered convention. I spoke to delegates at my booth who said they received the packet. None of our delegates will vote for her, putting my dislike for her aside, if she helps with a brokered convention I am fine with it because I think we could win a brokered convention.
Sarah Palin just exposed herself as two faced politician since she's advocating people to vote for Mitt Romney on television but apparently working to make a brokered convention happen. That's why its not surprising that why Sarah Palin not being invited to the GOP convention or why she hasn't been allowed to have an opportunity to speak at the convention. You can't expect to be invited to an event if you intend to undermine that event and have not been supportive of the GOP nominee.

I call on everyone from simple voters to news reporters to conservative commentators to RNC chairmen to call her out on her duplicitous behavior and speech. Is she really loyal to the GOP party? Does she really want Mitt to win in 2012? If so, why is she trying to engineer a brokered convention? If she's not trying to engineer a brokered convention, why are there reports that she is?

I'd love to see her answer those questions live on television or on the radio.

Why does this not surprise me, If true?

I wouldn't stake my reputation on anything you see on the Ron Paul site or has to say.

Though I do think she has followers that are hoping this, Palin has made it quite clear that her only plans are to work with helping candidates.

So sad that you've succumbed to the Ron Paul nuttery clan. Sarah Palin is not running. If she wanted to be President, she would have made a run in the primaries. Please stop spreading Ron Paul supporters' insanity. It's those supporters that are still causing headaches for the RNC convention. I know you're a Romney supporter. You supported him from the start. Yet, you push this false narrative by these tinfoil wearing nutters?

What I find interesting,is that you have two FOX personalities,Palin and Huckabee working to divide the GOP at convention time. Huckabee with Akin and now Palin.

If this is true, there should be plenty of "packets" floating around.

If you find one to view, I hope you post it here.

I personally know three of the delegates and two alternates from WA. I will ask about this latest on Palin. However, I can verify that a few weeks ago, these folks received letters both from Gingrich and Paul telling them they did not have to vote for Romney on the first ballot and to support them.

So I was surprised when Gingrich released his delegates this past week.

Reality is, there are reasons Palin, Gingrich, and Ron Paul were not given speaking slots. Rand is and look for his dad's followers to "raise the roof". Rand's response will be interesting. Paul folks sued here in WA to get Romney removed from the ballot, but lost in court.

NEVER trust a Paulie.

Leighrow, it is YOU, not anyone else who is dividing the GOP. Mr. Akin won the primary fair square and square. If you do not like it just hold your hold and vote for him. That is what the rest of us are doing with regards to your camp leader. Time to face reality. The deadline for withdrawal has passed. Buck up and grow a pair.

Bosman, If the statement of the Ron Paul blogger is true, then Sarah Palin's packet will make its way online or to the media. Its a shame this Ron Paul supporter didn't get a hold of this alleged packet and upload it. It would have drawn more traffic to his site.

Ohio Joe-I am not dividing the party, but Akin and Huckabee are sabotaging potential GOP pickups. This is a NATIONAL election,Akin's bizarre statements are then assigned to other GOP candidates in the race, and in close races, this will make a difference.

We are already guaranteed to lose MO due to Akin,Rasmussen placed the senate seat as safe democrat.I thought the goal was to win the Senate and the presidency to overturn Obamacare?

People like you and Huckabee have no business whining when the GOP does not win the senate and Obamacare does not get repealed.

By the way,the dems spent over1.5 million in ads to enure Akin won the GOP primary. The Dems voted for akin and akin won the primary...I do not call that winning fair and square!!!! The dems actually selected their opponent.

Those packets are from the Earthquake group, which refuses to give up on a Palin 2012 run. Governor Palin made it clear on October 5 that she was not running in 2012. Governor Palin and her staff have nothing to do with these efforts.

Ohio Joe-

I do not want a 3rd party race..that would ensure an easier victory for McCaskill.

I want Akin to either step down or switch places with Ann Wagner who is running for Akin's old seat. Ann was an ambassador and a pro-life candidate who is a polished speaker who can articulate clearly the GOP platform and agenda.

Sarah Palin isn't running for President you morons. She isn't trying to have a brokered convention. This is all being done by a handful of loons who hate Romney and refuse to come to grips with reality.

I know a few of these nuts and have ripped their asses on many occasions. Governor Palin wants NOTHING to do with these idiots.

The Paultards are out there causing problems, and they hate Sarah Palin because she's the real deal not a phony like their cult leader, Herr Doktor Paul.

This article is irresponsible and doesn't help anyone.

Gary said...

I see someone pasted a bunch of BS about spending Palin did as Mayor and Governor, but didn't have the balls to use their name.

Fact is, it's all BS.

Lets take this cut and past BS one line at a time:

"$100,000.00 – fee charged by Palin for giving a speech after resigning as Governor."

Not necessarily. That was a number put out by left wing Politico, and the rest ran with it. Governor Palin often speaks with no pay, other than travel expenses at charity events and political rallies.

"$150,000.00 – amount RNC paid for clothes for the Palins."

Actually this was paid for by a wealthy RNC donor, a Pawlenty supporter, not that it matters. This was done without Palin's knowledge. But, who cares. At least it wasn't tax payer money. Zero and Mooch have spent millions on personal things like vacations, "date nights" and so on. ALL on the tax payer dime.

"$250,000.00 – amount Discovery Channel paid Sarah Palin for each of 8 episodes of Sarah Palin’s Alaska."

What, is she supposed to work for free? It was the highest rated show ever [at the time] on TLC. They got their money's worth.

"$888,000.00 – amount of a tax credit paid by Alaska tax payers to TLC as a result of wages paid to Sarah Palin for starring in Sarah Palin’s Alaska."

Bullshit. This was a long standing tax credit program, put into place long before Governor Palin resigned. Fact is, many shows were being made about Alaska, all filmed somewhere else. Famously, "Northern Exposure" about a small town in Alaska, was actually filmed in Roslyn, Washington.

Almost every state has some sort of tax credit for film crews. Fact is, these crews come in and spend nearly 10 times the amount of tax credits on local wages and provisions.

Since this tax credit was put in place, there have been dozens of shows about Alaska produced, all of them IN Alaska. Alaska now has a booming film industry. This was a brilliant move.

Part 2:

"$5,500,000.00 – amount of federally funded earmarks Wasilla received while Palin was Mayor."

So?

"$35,000.00 - amount Palin paid per year for the lobbyist hired by Palin while mayor of Wasilla to obtain earmarks."

The Constitution GUARANTEES the right to petition Congress. That money was used to turn Wasilla from a dirt road nothing into the fastest growing city in Alaska, and a trading hub for the entire Mat-Su Valley. An area roughly the size of the state of Delaware.

Around 50,000 people a day shop in Wasilla, a town of 7500. The current Mayor gives Palin all the credit. $5.5 million well spent.

"$26,000,000.000 – amount of federal tax dollars spent by Palin on the “Road to Nowhere”, a road leading to the edge of a cliff where the bridge was originally intended to be built, but was canceled before construction of the road was started. According to the Alaska Transportation Priorities Project, a group promoting “sensible transportation systems in the state,” the “Road to Nowhere” was an “irresponsible waste.”

Bullshit. One of the things Palin did upon becoming Governor was try to give the money back.

As those emails that everyone clamored for show that she wanted NO PART of the bride to nowhere.

She stated in those emails that the money should go to Minnesota to help with the I-35 bridge that collapsed.

Just another lie spread around by liberals and Romney supporters.

http://bit.ly/ipxKzD

"$27,000,000.00 – amount of federal earmarks Palin secured with the help of her hired lobbyist for Wasilla’a town of 6,700 residents."

Nope.

"$197,800,000.00 – amount requested in earmarks for Alaska while Palin was Governor; a total of 31 earmarks representing more per person than any other state in the United States."

Lie

"$233,000,000.00 – amount requested by Palin for the “Bridge to Nowhere”.

As I pointed out above, HUGE LIE

"$3,000.00 – amount of debt incurred by each resident of Wasilla during the time Palin was mayor."

Lie

"$50,000.00 – amount of city funds Palin used without authorization to redecorate Mayor’s office in Wasilla, including red wallpaper that made it look “like a bordello” according to Wasilla City Council member."

Lie.

?$1,200,000.00 – amount of debt of Wasilla had when Palin began as mayor.
$24, 800,000.00 – amount of debt of Wasilla had when Palin left as mayor."

Yeah, this is true. Wasilla didn't have a sports/rec center or suitable town hall. The CITIZENS OF WASILLA voted to build one, and used municipal bonds to do it, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER CITY IN AMERICA DOES.

This was paid off early.

I hate liars. I hate anonymous liars even more.

You losers think you can pump up your worthless politicians by attacking Governor Palin. Not gonna work.

this is quite a strange post ... it does not appear to contain anything factual

Sarah Palin is currently in Arizona campaigning for down-ticket candidates .. she is nowhere near Tampa

There isn't one single delegate that has come forth with this alleged 'packet' from Palin .. zero proof that it exists

RNC Chairman Reince Preibus has publicly, emphatically stated that Palin was invited to speak primetime to the delegates at the convention, but that she declined the invitation

The only thing in this entire post I could verify was that Palin did make an appearance on Fox News yesterday. The entire interview is available online, and viewing reveals that Palin urged voters to elect Mitt Romney.

I don't know who the author of this post is, but based upon the false rant .. he is in need of severe psychiatric counseling

Gary, your arguments may make more sense if you didn't refute Anon's claims with "lie" and "lie" and "lie".

The sports/rec center was built on land the city didn't own. Hence the 24 mil price tag. And there's the allegation that Palin used "excess material" from the sports/rec center project to build her own house. What builder orders so much extra material that a second, substantial structure can be created from it?

Also, too, you give yourself away with your disrespect to the President and First Lady. There's a black man in the white house, and he'll likely be there for the next four years. Deal with it.

Right Wingnut,

I know that you have been on Conservatives for Palin posting public information about me that you have found on facebook and linked in.

However, posting private and non-public information about my bar passage is not acceptable. I don't care where you got it from but I do care that you are going around posting private and non-public information about me. That will NOT be tolerated.

Additionally, there have been many people who have made multiple attempts to take the bar and passed. So, there's no big deal about it.

Finally, I will be posting a response to the Palin community tonight or tomorrow.

I'll tell you what, I do not like the words Palin used to "encourage" her Bots to vote for Romney. She couldn't have been more limp in her verbage. Yes, she is out there encouraging someone to Nominate her. I will be very happy if that does not happen. BUT if IT DOES, I will believe that SARAH PALIN herself was behind this betrayal. IF Palin is nominated by her BOTS, We will have PROOF that Palin is a Traitor. PROOF!

1 - MRC has no more closer ties to Romney's campaign than C4P has to Palin.

2 - Though listed as a contributor, Jared has not written anything for us since January.

3 - I would not have allowed the posts about Palin at MRC because I knew immediately that they weren't true.

4 - I would not have allowed the posts about Palin at MRC because we just don't blog about her.

Just wanted to be clear on those points.

Jared, are you really a supporter of Romney, it is hard to tell.
You are using fringe articles re Sarah Palin that her supporters do not go along with.

A supporter of Romney would not use bogus comments knowing you are driving away people who are thinking of voting for Romney.

Perhaps that is your agenda

"Sara Palin is in town and playing games, she is trying to steal the nomination"

First of all if Sarah Palin had wanted the nomination she would of entered the race and she would of won it--Mitt Romney would not of had a chance!

Second Sarah is not even in Tampa--she is in AZ.

Third--In my opinion you are a very deceitful person and a dishonest one. Those two faces you put on Sarah are TRUTH and HONOR something you are lacking.

RE: "First of all if Sarah Palin had wanted the nomination she would of entered the race and she would of won it--Mitt Romney would not of had a chance!"

I assure you that the 'barracuda' would have run for president if enough sponsors agreed with this nonsense. No, she didn't have a chance, or the "grizzly" would have taken it.

I loved the list from anonymous. Everyone knows about the "Bridge to Nowhere." Everything else is self-evident. No man would have a political career after quitting their job as governor.

Palin wears snakeskin uber high heels, and her fandom is not an accident unrelated to her conduct. She spewed out a lot of toxic leftist rhetoric throughout the primaries and was rebuked by Rudy Giuliani for it.

Guiliani explained that the ideas she supported were the ~ "dumbest, most ridiculous ideas and showed ignorance of our economic system, and about how the economy works and jobs are created."

Guiliani said we ought to be fighting Palin's ideas, that they are bad. He said Palin's attacks on Bain Capital were unfair. You see, Palin supported calling Bain Capital "vulture capitalism." She's a basket case if she believes she's a conservative with such negative talk about free enterprise continually coming from her, like her worries about "greedy people on Wall Street."

If Palin ever was a serious Republican candidate she'd have had better friends in the party than Rick Perry and Newt, the dumbest and the craziest.

Palin was the surrogate sponsor of Romney tax return foaming-at-the-mouth charlatan games. With conservatives like Palinista, who needs marxists. She is all about class warfare.

She claimed she looked presidential posing on Harley Davidson bikes. She is a divider. She claimed to be superior to country club Republicans. Really? Why? Who believes Republicans are all the same?

No, there is a reason Palin supporters are strange: Palin sells strange, and they bought strange hook, line, and sinker.

Sarah Palin is making conservatives look ridiculous. Palin's a wack-a-do, and naturally her supporters are wacko. Anybody not supporting Romney right now, is an Obama plant.
