Quinnipiac Poll: Is Romney putting Connecticut in play?

Rasmussen had a poll last week that had only an 8 point spread between Romney and Obama in Connecticut.

I didn't get to excited figuring it as an outlier. NOW we have Quinnipiac with ONLY a 7 POINT SPREAD.

Head-to-Head: (Previous results from June 6)

Barack Obama 52% (50%)
Mitt Romney 45% (38%)

With Men:

Mitt Romney 53% (42%)
Barack Obama 45% (48%)

With Women:

Barack Obama 59% (52%)
Mitt Romney 38% (35%)

With Independents:

Mitt Romney 49% (35%)
Barack Obama 47% (45%)

This Polls Demographics:

Independent 40%
Democrat 33%
Republican 22%
Other 5%
A survey of 1,472 likely voters was conducted August 22-26, 2012. The MOE is +/-2.6%.

This is one of the main reasons I supported Romney from the beginning. A yankee Republican, reasonably conservative, is analogous to a conservative Democrat from the South.
