The Social Security Administration released its annual statistical report on federal disability insurance last month, revealing that at the end of 2011 there was a then-record of 8,575,544 workers collecting federal disability benefits and among them were 1,304,851 doing so because they suffered from “mood disorders.”Read the rest of the story HERE.
Hey, I don't know about you, but reading this puts me in a Sh*tty mood. Maybe I should check HERE and see if I qualify?

Sad but SO true...I work in healthcare and a patient of mine (on disability for Bipolar disorder)said, "you know, it 'pays' to be nuts". Sad
It's crap ... I work in healthcare too, and when a person can't qualify for disability any other way, they get it on mood disorder ... It seems somewhat cruel to say but when the mentally ill were mainstreamed back into communities by well meaning social workers with ill conceived social policy the homeless population and by extension criminal behavior exploded perhaps there is something to be said for institutionalizing those who suffer from mental illnesses. Mental institutions today are regulated by DHHS; there should be little concern that they are the fodder of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and its ilk "Nurse Ratchett"
