Christie: VP Nominee Likely To Be Portman

This is coming from a prominent New Jersey blogger with access to the Christie camp.

For what it's worth.....

.....A reliable source close to Governor Chris Christie tells Save Jersey that the Big Guy is, in fact, betting on Rob Portman.

We all know Chris Christie has been one of Mitt Romney’s earliest, most vocal and frankly most profitable allies. He’s also a top-rung, influential national party leader and vetted vice presidential nominee in his own right. Long story short, folks, it’s only logical that Governor Romney would consult with Governor Christie before making a huge electoral decision.

That means Chris Christie’s Portman prediction is indicative of inside knowledge (at best) or a very well-educated guess (at worst). Either way, please take it under advisement and prepare accordingly! We’ll know for sure any day now.

Sure it is. He will be insurance for the tie breaker to ram through Crap and Tax allowing Etch-a-sketch to pat back his Wall Street buddies.

How's that for crony capitalism for ya!

I don't think it will be Portmam. I think it's McDonnell.

If not McDonnell, Pawlenty.

My guess is Portman is 3rd on Romney's list.

I'm with you, Bosman. Very astute. Agree, I think McDonnell is being deliberately low-keyed by Romney camp. Bob is a fantastic pick. I love Pawlenty, I really do. And I think Mitt and Ann do, as well. Not sure TPaw will edge out McDonnell, however, when it comes to delivering votes.

It doesnt matter who it is, all you rich trash will get your asses kicked by the people. Romney is a coward who only cares about himself and his rich 5 sons. Remember " I dont care about the poor" comment? Now he does care. Screw Romney and all you republicans.

How do you know when a dem is running scared? They flog someone for their success and call names. If Obama was such a shoe in, why bother coming here to troll?

Rob Portman will be political suicide for the Romney campaign. Whoever is running the campaign is not doing Romney any favors. Very sad and disappointed to hear this . Along with many others..:(

Those who claim to dislike Portman don't seem to know ANYTHING about him. Saying he's boring or unlikable proves you've not done any homework. Portman easily pokes a pin in the hostility balloon of rabid lefist reporters, while never becoming defensive or unpleasant. He's bright, informed, VERY likable, adventurous, and experienced. He's also one of the adults. I am certain Romney understands politics better than all commentators in here, including myself of course.

The insults and dire predictions for Romney are uncalled for and wildly unsupported. MSM and palin people NEVER admitted romney was always the frontrunner in the primaries. And they are delusional now, acting enraged as though it is their "right" to pick Romney's VP. VP should be very like Romney, or in an emergency the majority are stuck with someone the opposite of what we voted for.

Poor sports need to lick their wounds privately rather than batter the Republican cause with rankling and personal insults of Romney, like suggesting he's not a real man.

I have heard that "real men" are bad. I don't care much for that concept. The world will improve the more we realize that good fathers are the "real men." Five great sons are the finest tribute to Mitt and Ann Romney.

The entire Romney family group is wholesome, productive, and very hard working. Most know, some at least know at the unconscious level, that they would be goof offs if they were rich. The Romney family are fun, fantastic, and they better this world. They don't treat women like objects less important than themselves or like objects who exist for their convenience. A big part of leadership is setting a good example. The Romney family is extremely lovable.

Insulting Romney's five great sons doesn't change the high quality of Romney or his sons, but it does reflect poorly on the person slinging the mud. They are willfully blind and come across as frustrated with their own existence.

Anon, if you really think the author of the comment criticizing Romney's sons is a Palin supporter you better check yourself.
