Justice Scalia & Mitt Romney slam the Obama Administration on Immigration ruling

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia suggested Monday that the Framers of the Constitution would have “rushed to the exits” if presented with the idea behind President Barack Obama’s recent decision not to enforce certain immigration laws.
The Supreme Court’s decision to strike down most of the key provisions of Arizona’s SB 1070 immigration law “boggles the mind” in light of the Obama policy shift, Scalia added.

[...]

Scalia asked whether states would have entered into the union had the Constitution included a clause enacting immigration laws but stipulating that the president had a choice on whether to enforce them. Delegates would have “rushed to the exits” at Independence Hall.

The full story is HERE.
HERE is today's Supreme Court rullings.

Mitt Romney had this to say:
“Today's decision underscores the need for a President who will lead on this critical issue and work in a bipartisan fashion to pursue a national immigration strategy. President Obama has failed to provide any leadership on immigration. This represents yet another broken promise by this President. I believe that each state has the duty--and the right--to secure our borders and preserve the rule of law, particularly when the federal government has failed to meet its responsibilities. As Candidate Obama, he promised to present an immigration plan during his first year in office. But 4 years later, we are still waiting.”

Has everyone heard about Obama's latest dictate to Homeland security......they will essentially not respond to AZ calls to ICE when AZ apprehends illegals. Looks like Barak Obama Chevaz wins again. It looks like Mexico is going to take over the US without the necessity of an army. As far as I'm concerned the takeover of the US was assisted by Reagan, Bush and Obama sealing the deal. If Romney selects someone who has had any affiliation with the Bush administration, like Portman.....this Pro Romney supporter will have 2nd thoughts.

My husband and I are getting sick and tired of the politicians stressing the importance of the Hispanic vote....what about the law abiding hard working, responsible cracker(a term created by Obama's friends the black panthers) vote'! Sorry for the slang but the SCOTUS's decision was very disappointing.

It just seems like in today's world of social justice, that doing the right thing is not encouraged and doing the wrong thing is encouraged.

Judge Roberts turned out to be a trader!

Anon,

The jury is out on Roberts.

My gut feeling is that this ruling was a little rope-a-dope.

The KNOCK OUT will be announced before the end of the week when the SCOTUS hand a decision to Obama that slices and dices his health plan and makes it unenforceable.

Bosman-good point,I will reserve my judgement on Roberts. I thought Bush should have made Scalia Chief Justice, over Roberts. I think you can tell by my posts that I am not a big Bush fan,and when I see Romney cozying up to Bush,I get nauseous.

One more comment...Romney needs to move more to the Paul's side of the fence and not the Bush side,(specifically on domestic policy).
