Rubio is overrated by the GOP. If his name were Mark Rubin or Marc Rubinowski, I doubt very much that Republicans and the MSM would be obsessing over the VP prospects of a rising, but untested, first-term junior Senator from Florida. In 20 years he'll be younger than Mitt Romney is today. Let's see how Rubio proves himself over the next two decades. (The last part is tongue-in-cheek, but you get the point.)

The media buzz about Marco Rubio - I'm looking at you, FOX News & talk radio - is far more about hype than it is about substance.

Being "young", "fresh" and "exciting" are not qualifications to be Vice President of the United States.

Nor is being Latino-American a qualification to be Vice President of the United States.

Executive experience & accomplishments are the main qualifications to be Vice President of the United States - qualifications which Rubio simply does not have.

In fact Rubio's qualifications are remarkably similar to those of Obama in 2008: lawyer & legislator with virtually zero experience in the real economy.

We've all seen, much to our chagrin, how the Obama experiment has worked out for America.

Let's not repeat that mistake in 2012 by putting Marco Rubio a heartbeat away from the presidency.
