Great News For Conservatives

Mike Huckabee is challenging Rush Limbaugh on the radio. I have certainly had my problems with Huckabee in the past over various issues (and I know some people here have as well), but he is HANDS DOWN a better spokesman for conservative values and principles than Rush Limbaugh. With Limbaugh, we get a man who has tried to thwart every victory that the reality-based conservatives have sought. With Huckabee, we get a guy who will help the conservative movement, not hurt them.

By the way, the GOP has a huge woman problem (of which I will blogging a lot about later). Rush Limbaugh played a large role in driving away women from the Republican Party. Mike Huckabee's more "compassionate conservatism" would likely bring some of them back.

This is certainly not an endorsement of everything that Mike Huckabee has said and done. However, it is a huge improvement and conservatives need to help Mike beat Rush.

I have to admit, I am fed up with Rush.

I think many like Rush, but his consistent - non-factual bashing of Mitt has a lot of people fed up.

Plus, Huckabee might be a nice change for women.

I found a link to an online station where his show will be starting Monday http://www.newstalk1160.com/

My affection for Rush is waining. Hate to say it but he may be becoming a liability for the cause.

Pablo, I can't believe Rush still has defenders. It boggles my mind. Especially after he said he wanted to watch the young lady have sex online.

I agree with you about Huck. He will be a huge improvement over Rush.

Another thing this past week has me bothered. Did you read John Derbyshire's racist article? I was stunned.

Where you folks live--do you get Dennis Prager, king of talk radio, or Michael Medved, with photo graphic memory for history, or Hugh Hewett, political genius?
Huck is not even on the radar, compared to these skilled veteran personalities.

dgentaylor, yeah, that's true. But at least Huck isn't like Rush--you know angry and hypocritical.

I don't listen to any talk radio now, but I have listened to those guys now and then. It's too bad Rush is the face of talk radio, because those guy clearly outclass him in every category.

Pablo, good news. I saw that Derbyshire was fired from NR today.

Are you kidding... Huckabee? I would not trust that guy with anything... a slippery character, pure and simple. Great at pulling the wool over people and creating this false imagery but come on, the guy has a lot of questionable character flaws and I just do not trust him. He is like a carnival entertainer... bits of this and that... mixed with a religious sounding message. DO NOT LIKE THIS GUY

Huck? Not so much. I will continue listening to Rush or even better, music when I am in the car.

Rush is far more entertaining than Huckleberry.

MIck Huckabee has sold out now that he has had the lap band, hair implants, teeth resurfacing…he's gone Hollywood.

He may be a good guy but hes not the down home Gov any more.
