Does Romney Need A 'Severely' Conservative Message?

Some pundits are clamoring for Romney to choose Allen West as his running mate. They also want him to adopt a more stridently conservative message in order to get the base to vote.

I look at Colorado as a case study.

He needs to keep doing just what he has been.
Santorum got only the anti mormon vote and some of those would die before they vote mormon, I live in the south I know some.

I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would want Romney to choose West.

After all his hard work, he should just throw the election away? It's bizarre. They don't know Mitt, at all, do they?

OBAMA--and no one else--will get the GOP "base" and the so-called "Independents" to the polls on November 6 to vote him out of office. Obama didn't want to run against Romney. Obama lost that round; Romney is the nominee. Now, the Obama team desperately wants Romney to pick a lightning-rod of a VP running mate (Palinesque), in order to demonize that individual and energize the Dem "base" and so-called "Independents" to vote against ALL Republicans in November. Ain't gonna happen.

No, that was an unfortunate gaffe he made trying to appeal to the fringe at the cpac convention.

Me and you both...I do not understand all of the support for Allan West. I personally like Rand Paul or Paul Ryan.

I think the GOP needs to shake things up and show that they are moving away from GWB's progressive agenda. Rand Paul would attract the younger voters who strongly believe that big government will limit their future freedom.

Rubio is too close to Jeb Bush for my taste.
