Shilling

shill

[shil] Slang
noun
1.
a person who poses as a customer in order to decoy others into participating,
as at a gambling house, auction, confidence game, etc.
2.
a person who publicizes or praises something or someone for reasons of self-interest,
personal profit, or friendship or loyalty.

Rick Santorum has called President Obama a "snob" for encouraging Americans to pursue a college education. Although Santorum has a JD and the benefits of a higher education, Santorum is an undereducated fool. Not only does he use the wrong words to describe his many gripes and complaints but he lies. Today Santorum accused Fox News of "shilling" for Mitt Romney. In a rant about the unfair advantages that Governor Romney has over him he said, "He's had a 10-to-1 money advantage. He's had all the organizational advantages. He has Fox News shilling for him everyday, on offense Brian, but I see it. And yet, he can't seal the deal because he just doesn't have the goods to be able to motivate the Republican base to win this election."

I'd like to point out just four of Santorum's ridiculas statements in his short diatribe.
  1. Lack of funds is not a badge of honor. It highlights your lack of dedicated support. If you can't overcome Romney's fund raising advantage why should we believe you can overcome the Obama fund raising advantage? It makes no sense!
  2. Complaining about Governor Romney's organizational advantage is a compliment to the front-runner and a slap in his own face. Why wouldn't we want a president that can organize a movement and get things done? Winging it as Santorum often does is for cheap politicians and congressmen. In the big leagues when so much is at stake organization and mobilization is paramount. There are thousands of great ideas but only one in a thousand people have the ability to make those ideas a reality and Rick is obviously not one of those people.
  3. Fox News is "shilling" for Mitt Romney? Please! Facts are a pain to people of the Santorum persuasion but it is a fact that Fox News has more negative airtime against Mitt Romney than any other candidate. Fact!
  4. Mitt Romney can't motivate the party to win the election? If you are trailing to this guy who can't motivate by over 1 million votes and hundreds of delegates what does that say about your ability? Does he not listen to what he is saying? What blatant disregard for thought and logic. If he sets the tee up for Obama in the same way he does now you can bet the President is going to knock him out of the park. He's obscene!
Senator Santorum's incessant whining is getting as old as the candidates nonsensical ravings and non sequiturs. He knows that he can't win the election but has let his unchecked ego and pride convince himself that the convention in Tampa will pick the guy in second place over the guy in first place. It's a strategy of a looser and Rick Santorum has just graduated from a poor sport to a outright looser.

Santorum is his own worst enemy!

If Fox is shilling for anyone at this point it is Santorum, maybe Gingrich...but certainly not Romney.

Santorum is grabbing at anything. He may be referring to Charles Krauthammer who on Oreilly said he liked Romney, would like to see Romney in the WH and that he would make a very good president. Krauthammer is always right!

Santorum is a throwback from the 15th century! What a pathetic looser! Good luck getting women to vote for him in the general. We probably make him "throw up".

It is a known fact that Rupert Murdoch the owner of FOX was tweeting support for Santorum. It is a fact that Hannity and Gretta are giving Santorum free air time. That is why Santorum has been able to stay in the race for so long. The Romney negative coverage on Fox was I believe 70% whereas Santorum's negative coverage was in the 40% range.

Again it would not surprise me if the Dems were paying both Gingrich and Santorum to drag this out to the convention on August 30th. These 2 career Washington insiders would sell their soul for a buck. Look at all of the money they made pedaling Democratic policies.

saw this on another blog but think it says everything about santorum so i'm copying it here:

"Santorum has talked about a lot of things. What he has done however is an entirely different matter. He has never met a federal spending program he didn't want to increase. Romney is the only guy in the race who has actually balanced a budget. REALLY balanced the budget and not robbed Social Security to do it."

Thank you, Publius Nemo, for reminding us that Santorum becomes an unhinged personality whenever he's directly opposed or feels he's losing a confrontation. This trait alone is DISQUALIFYING in a potential president of the U.S. If he can't handle Romney, how on earth can he handle the Russians, Chinese, Pakistanis, et al.? Santorum is not cut out for executive responsibility. He's never run a business, never governed a city or a state, and never had the buck stop at his desk. And this gargantuan gap in his experience and temperament is now manifesting itself big time.

Santorum just is mad and complaining. He is undignified and that excludes him from being president of the United States. Sad little dictator.

Excellant post, Publius. You hit this one out of the park and right on the mark. Santorum should be embarrassed by his own words, but because he is not, that in itself shows he is not very smart. He is drowning and grabbing at anything, and it is an ugly sight.

If Santorum thinks we want to change a cry baby's diaper in the White House he has another thing coming. He lost this race two weeks ago and he just doesn't know it yet or is too pig headed to accept it. I don't think I could bring myself to vote for him. He is a pig. He hates anyone who is different and makes a small small tent for the GOP. He's hurting the GOP and he isn't even the nominee. How's that for influence. Yuk!

Give the poor guy some credit. He's mussing up the front of his hairpiece to make it look more natural. And even adding a little gray some days. At least he's trying. That takes some intelligence.

Love point #1 regarding fundraising which goes overlooked by the media, msm and otherwise.

Santorum is a total punk. He barely beat Mitt in hostile territory and takes it as a sign that the race is changing. With Hawaii and American Samoa, Romney will be the delegate winner again. Numbers are going Mitt's way.
