Rasmussen Poll: Romney with a 9 Point lead over GOP in ILLINOIS

GOP Nomination:

Mitt Romney 41%
Rick Santorum 32%
Newt Gingrich 14%
Ron Paul 7%

If the 2012 Republican Primary for president were held today and you only had a choice between Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum, for whom would you vote?

Mitt Romney 48%
Rick Santorum 44%
A survey of 750 Likely Republican Primary Voters was conducted on March 15. The MOE is +/- 4 percentage points.

But...but...I saw that Fox's online poll showed that Gingrich was leading in Illinois. Surely that poll is more accurate! ;)

Let's hope that whatever Romney's lead is, it is sufficient to overcome the dem's union voting machine.

In Ill. I wouldn't be surprised to see some funny numbers come out. Remeber we're talking about Ill. The captial of corrupt politics, This is where Obama got his start where he learned the ropes. Do you really think if they have anyway they will do whatever it takes to help Santorum.

The only reason Santorum is a factor is because Romney has destroyed the others in Debates while he was merely a fringe candidate. Now that he is the only one left for bigoted evangelicals to run to he has 11 th hour support, NOT because he's the best choice, but because he's the scrape the only bottom of the barrel candidate left. Such a sad way to choose a president!
