Neil Cavuto's touching look at Ann Romney

I am a big fan of Mitt Romney, that's no secret. He has his faults, and his opponents like to examine each of them in minute detail, while often ignoring the even greater flaws of his opponents. That's the nature of the campaign. That being said, Romney's resume is far better than any of his opponents.

One of the favorite criticisms directed at Romney is that people just don't relate to him. As a wife and mother, I greatly admire the kind of husband, father and grandfather Romney is as well. (There are a lot of great husbands and fathers and grandfathers who are not qualified or prepared to be president.)

One of my best friends has MS. When we first met 10 years ago or so she walked with a limp, but was otherwise able to drive and work and do whatever needed to be done. Today she is confined to a wheelchair. She can move from her chair to the seat of the car, but sometimes needs help to do so. When I see the effort that Ann Romney makes on behalf of her husband, I recognize the sacrifice she is making personally, and it lends greater weight to her testimony on behalf of her husband, that he can do the job that needs to be done to restore our great nation to its founding principles.

I was moved by this tribute to Ann Romney by Neil Cavuto, and wanted to share it here.

Noelle, thank you! I would not have seen this if you hadn't posted it. What a wonderful tribute.

I don't know if he meant it, but there was an obvious dig in the to one of the other candidates.

Ann is a class act. No debating that.

Ann is very sharp, seeing her up thete front and center starting all post vote rallys. And good for Cavuto for going against lazy media memes and give up a deeper and more nuanced view of them both.

One has to salute this woman to overcome her affliction to MS. She has the "right stuff" in her. Her convictions show clearly in her character. As much as I dislike her husband, I would definitely consider her if she was running instead of Mitt.

If one could transfuse her character into her husband's head, he would be a much more like-able candidate. And that's what is needed at this time in the history of the US; character, strong values & courage. IMHO, Ann Romney would better stand up to the current power structure in Washington & NYC than her husband. Good health to you Ann!

Someone close to me in our family has MS. We know how dibilitating a desease it can be. The Romneys are a great couple with a great marriage, kids and grandkids, what wonderful role models they can be for our aching country in need of a healing. God bless the Romney family and Neil Cavuto for the courage to speak his mind and in his quest to deal Ms as well.

Ann Romney is an extremely admirable, charismatic and likeable woman.

She is also a very powerful political asset to Mitt's campaign, which is why she has such a prominent role there.

The more prominent, the better, as far as I'm concerned.
