Rubio's endorsement is good news, because it proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the GOP has finally rallied around Romney. Tonight, Rubio--at the youngest, most promising end of the spectrum; tomorrow, GHW Bush--at the senior, most distinguished end.
As for Rubio himself, this was hardly a risk. He waited so long to endorse Mitt that, as he himself said, the only alternative now is a floor fight in Tampa. Not exactly a profile in courage. Still, his endorsement will hopefully help bring the primary season to a close, sooner rather than later.
As for VP, there are too many unknowns right now even to hazard a guess. In recent months I've really warmed to "Mr. Indomitable," Chris Christie. He seems far better suited than Rubio to the traditional VP candidate's role of attack dog. Christie is about 10 years (?) older than Rubio and has executive experience. Christie endorsed Romney right after he himself decided not to run, and has worked hard for Romney across the country. My hunch is that Romney and Christie have developed a pretty good working relationship already. Finally, Christie seems to fit Romney's one criterion that the VP be able to step right in as president, should that become necessary. Rubio, not so much.

Romney/Rubio 2012!
He's to young and inexperienced for VP.
RINO!
After 4 years of Obama, this country could really use some R&R.
I'm not really whole-heartedly endorsing Rubio for VP, although I could certainly support an MR/MR ticket, but I liked that line.
Take that ABR's.
