Rick Santorum Visited Tulsa, Oklahoma Today

The following photo was taken by Vice-Chairman of Oklahoma Republican Party, Pam Pollard at a Santorum rally at the Tulsa Mabee Center.

Wow...

More photos of his day are available on Pollard's Twitter feed.

The Mabee Center is a special events arena located on the campus of Oral Roberts University.

We were told that classes would be canceled so that everyone could attend if we wanted.

RW, Thanks! This is great news for Rick; finally traction as folks become more interested in his campaign. It's so nice to see some old-style campaigning going on here. He seems to have a special quality about him & now, after his trials in the race, is being recognized.

Just another scene from bigot country in America.

I thought the audience looked 95% college age.

Nice of Oral Roberts to pack the hall for Rick

Just to be clear: Many of us in the center were just there to listen to him, we were not there "supporting him".

I'm a Romney supporter, my 3 friends support Paul. We just like listening to political speeches.

"Nice of Oral Roberts to pack the hall for Rick"

Do you mean that these people didn't trudge through 3 feet of snow to listen to Rick and that was simply a choice of going to class or attending Rick's rally?

Wrong Anon@ 4:22, this is a great example of the concept of social fractals. Start with individuals in a family unit that are all healthy, thrifty, honest, caring and responsible, then aggregate individuals into a family unit & that family manifests the self-same characteristics of the individuals. This is the form of fractals. On to the next level; if we aggregate healthy, thrifty, honest, caring and responsible families into a community unit, then that community shares these same characteristics as the family & individual units. At the next level, if we aggregate these communities into a nation, how can that nation not exhibit these same characteristics.

Marxist/Socialism destroys these fractals as the bonds between individuals, families, communities & the Nation are broken down. Building strong social bonds with faith in individuals, families & communities united under a belief in God is a Conservative value. Negativity, bigotry, & fear are all Marxist/Socialist beliefs.

So we're not looking at an actual Santorum rally, just a bunch of people who during that particular time on campus, had no where else to go.

Where are the Santorum t-shirts, signs, and buttons?

This is Oral Roberts University pushing for Santorum support.

So this is not the Evangelicals pushing support for an ABR, since Newt is, begrudgingly, too damaged?

Wrong Lionhead.

Your description of these people can also be said about the Mormons.

Yet many of these people in this picture would describe Mormons as insane, Satan-worshipping cultists, as they have been taught all their lives by their pastors.

At Oral Roberts University too? You betcha!

Yes, this is just another scene from Bigot Country, USA.

Oral Roberts? I was born and raised in Oklahoma..I have a pretty good idea who goes to college at Oral Roberts..they probably got credit for attendance.

Does this make them bigots? No, but it does make them something of a captive audience.

He could go to OU at Norman and I doubt very much if he would get this kind of crowd.

Alright smart asses, Show me a Romney rally witha crowd that looks like that and we'll talk.

"Alright smart asses, Show me a Romney rally witha crowd that looks like that and we'll talk."

What you're saying is that Mitt should have to have a church sponsored rally at the Salt Lake Mormon Temple or BYU, To equal Rick's rally here.

No RW, Show us a Santorum rally in a non-secular setting, then we'll talk!

What is this, anti-Morman, bigotry & copyright enforcement day? All done with our pesky anonymous commentors. They seem to have invaded here like a swarm of black flies. Anyone have some troll spray?

Right Speak is not the place to hash out anti-Mormon bigotry. The black flies are goading all the Mormons to react. This would be the same if it were any other religion. Time to ignore the trolls until they depart. Please don't feed the trolls.

I am all for religious behavior by our presidential candidates.

I am concerned about candidates who go to church services on Sunday (Santorum in MN to crowd of 3500, don't believe it was his Catholic church) to "preach" while very actively involved in the political process. There were surely other venues in Tulsa available, but a "religious" campus w/ready audience handy very convenient.....and subtley sends the message "real Christian" out. There are a number of stories coming out of CO that indicate religion did impact that outcome from email to phone calls to lying about supporting Romney and then changing at caucus. I hope good, honest people are not involved in religious bigotry and deceit to get "their" guy elected.

If so, America will deserve the consequences of such wrong.

The fact that you dont see a single Santorum sign, or sticker, or any indication at all that this is a rally speaks volumes.
Nobody but Ron Paul 2012!
