Undecided 5%
Barack Obama 45%
Mitt Romney 41%
Some other candidate 10%
Undecided 4%
Santorum is viewed favorably by 49% of Ohio voters, Romney by 45%. Fifty percent (50%) at least somewhat approve of Obama’s job performance, with 31% who Strongly Approve.

Thirty-eight percent (38%) of Ohio voters believe the government bailouts of banks, auto companies, and insurance companies were good for the United States, but a plurality (49%) views them as bad for the country. Obama earns 81% support against both Republicans from voters who see the bailouts as a good move. Among those who regard the bailouts as a bad idea, 67% support Romney, 71% Santorum, when pitted against the president.
Survey of 500 likely voters was conducted February 8, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percentage points.

They don't know Rick as well yet in Ohio as they do in Pennsylvania.
Santorum has not been vetted yet so everyone is looking at Santorum with rose colored glasses.
Romney has been attacked by the DNC,the RNC,all right wing radio talk show hosts,MSM and FOX. To be quite honest, I am surprised that Romney is not doing worse.
"I've never "sworn by" polls. I've long said that they mean little until it's closer to the election. This season has proven that, and then some. People in these states aren't even paying attention yet. Haven't the events of the last several weeks taught you anything?"

All I can say is "Amen."

Yes, I did say that. there is no way to guage who will win in November based on this poll, but it is an indicator of where Romney's campaign is right now...the toilet.
Go over to Pollman's site (I would link it, but have been asked not to) and scan some polls. Mitt's neggies are getting dangerously high in a number of states. His scorched earth tactics are taking a toll.
Doug, I don't like the last two lines of your comment. I think you should remove them.

I wonder if Palin will say the race should be extended to vett Santorum?
This poll is trash.
It means nothing.
No one in Ohio is paying attention.
Is this posted to make St. Rick voter feel warm & fuzzy.
I don't trust a poll till 2-3 hours befor voting begins.
This site is turning into a Santorum Love Fest.
I'm outta here
I edited and reposted my comment to qualify for a PG rating.

I'll move my comment too, so it make sense...
LOL, Doug. I have to admit. That is funny.
You know, GWB was a the pick of Evangelicals. The GW that racked up the debt and was so horrible at communication the country readily picked the great, intellectual messiah communicator, Obama.
Now, you have the big spending GWB clone, Santorum. Of course, his flaws don't count and are glossed over because, like GWB, he's a Christian.
It's not been the "establishment" who's pick the Republican candidates. It's been the Evangelicals.
The Evangelicals are bad at picking candidates.
Please don't feed the trolls. ;)
Santorum looks like a closet door waiting to get opened.
RW, your link to "Low Turnout and the Big Tune-Out" at the WSJ http://tinyurl.com/7vvqu87 is a great commentary on this campaign. The power of a negative campaign at work. It truly does destroy its targets, but undermines the ultimate race in the Fall.
For all Romney's handlers & consultant's they will likely hand him a loss if he gets nominated. Moreover, he's destroying voter's interest in finding a suitable alternative to Obama if he fails. What a tragedy to loose the general election on the misguided efforts of one candidate & his suregates.
Thanks RWn,
I couldn't resist.
It was like a soft easy pitch or a soft easy blonde...
you just had to hit it... (sorry AZ but I'm not editing that joke.)
"They don't know Rick as well yet in Ohio as they do in Pennsylvania."
It depends what part of the state.
"No one in Ohio is paying attention." True, they are not paying as much attention as 4 years ago, but many Ohioans are paying attention.
