RWN celebrates the findings of the Democratic polster...I am sure you guys are on the same side.

I am not psychic. I don't know how all this will turn out, but I have seen enough of these up and down polls to be cautious.

I do know that the hypocrites in the conservative movement are running out of not Romneys, so they might well settle on someone they laughed at three months ago, but it remains to be seen if he can stand the spot light..but we do know by now that his supporters won't let a little thing like his crappy voting record dissuade them.

Teemu said...

Lol, the poll's sample is more conservative than South Carolina electorate was in exit polls

Teemu said...

Also it oversamples the party poopers, both Santorum and Gingrich do better than Romney among "somewhat liberal" vote, but the party poopers don't bother to the ballot box in the end, more of those afraid of Santorum or Gingrich somehow winning will turn up.

Teemu:

Well they just want bragging rights..they don't care if it is accurate.

The thing I find interesting is that Santorum can trash Tea Partiers, say stupid things, vote for big government and big labor and the so-called purists will support him anyway..and then go right on preaching to us all about how pure they are and true and all that crap..as if I believed that.

"RWN celebrates the findings of the Democratic pollster." Ah, now that Mr. Romney is no longer winning, it is referred to as a Democrat polling company. For the record, I certainly do not think Mr. Santorum is winning by much, but I am glad that Mr. Romney is getting a good run for his money. Perhaps he will finally start promoting Conservatism now that he needs votes.

YAY for Santorum!!!!!!!!!!!!!....but too bad he won't be the nominee :(

Terrye said...

Ohio Joe:

No, it is not just because Romney is not up, I have never had a lot of faith in PPP..I am not a big believer in Insider Advantage either.

Ohio JOE said...

In truth, PPP is not the best polling company, but it is not the worst either.

Teemu said...

"Ah, now that Mr. Romney is no longer winning, it is referred to as a Democrat polling company."

Err, in their last national poll (Dec 16-18) Romney was 13 points behind Gingrich, when in 4 other RCP list polls (Dec 14 - Dec 19) it was actual tie or virtual tie...

Also PPP underpolled Romney worse in IA, NH and FL than any other RCP list pollster...

Right Wingnut said...

Cherry picking again? I don't know if it's truly 15 points either, but I believe it to be close to double digits. I absolutely believe the favorable numbers for these candidates are close to what this sample indicates.

Ohio JOE said...

"I absolutely believe the favorable numbers for these candidates are close to what this sample indicates." BINGO!

Terrye said...

RWN:

That is a laugh..the guy that made an issue of the word "severely" is talking about cheery picking.

Tell me, if more and more people start hearing the radio accounts and seeing the you tube videos of Rick Santorum trashing the Tea Party, do you think he will be able to keep this up..or will he go to the wayside?

And that is just one thing Rick has to worry about..there is lots more.

Terrye said...

The really interesting thing here however, is the blatant hypocricy..that tells me a lot about the state of the conservative movement today.

Well, I hope all you Romney haters enjoy 4 more years of Obama, because there is no way Santorum could ever defeat Obama in the general. His manner of expressing his views, especially towards women, is so divisive, that he will turn off pretty much all Democrat women, most independent women, and even a few Republican women.

If Romney wins the nomination, however, because of his economic expertise he will be able to earn the support of a few Democrats, most independents, and pretty much all of the (reasonable) Republicans.

Ohio JOE said...

"Well, I hope all you Romney haters enjoy 4 more years of Obama, because there is no way Santorum could ever defeat Obama in the general." Haha, if you think that Mr. Santorum cannot beat Mr. Obama, you must be a Santorum hater, Noelle. Unfortunately, Mr. Santorum is not Right Wing enough, but we are going to need somebody much further to the Right of Mr. Romney if we are going to fix the economy.

Right Wingnut said...

Even The ever positive Noelle is showing a negative side. This is about to get ugly.

Noelle said...

Unlike Gingrich, Santorum does not have the deal-breaker in his history. He is basically an honest guy, a good husband and father. But his ultra right-wing social views will turn off independents. That's just the truth.

Ohio JOE said...

"Even The ever positive Noelle is showing a negative side. This is about to get ugly." You really have to feel sorry for these guys in their moment of meltdown. One minute, Mr. Santorum is a liberal union lover and then wait for it....."his ultra right-wing social views will turn off independents." Wake me up when it is over.

Noelle said...

And I would add, this got ugly a long time ago.

Terrye said...

Ohio Joe..

I have my doubts that he can beat Obama..after all the last time Santorum went up against a Democrat he got beat by 18 points and lost his Senate seat.

And he is weird. Just plain weird.

By the way, has he released his taxes yet? I know this was a huge deal for Romney.

Terrye said...

And what is this stuff about meltdown? For heavens sakes you guys can rag on Romney every freaking day and have a cow with every good poll he gets and I do not remember ever saying you were having a melt down.

Ohio JOE said...

"And he is weird. Just plain weird." Oh please, not the weird card. Yes Mr. Santorum got defeated by a popular Democrat in 2006. BTW, Who did Mr. Romney defeat in 2006?

Ohio JOE said...

"For heavens sakes you guys can rag on Romney every freaking day and have a cow" Yes we do rag on Mr. ROmney every day, but we do not have cows. I for one do not eat beef, but hey.

Well, the LDS population won't be voting with the bigots. So... you can blame 'us' for Obama's next 4, or, you can look in the mirrors for the blame.

Ohio JOE said...

"Well, the LDS population won't be voting with the bigots." But you have no problem posting bigoted comments against Mr. Santorum on other web-sites.

How do you know that Ohio Joe?

Anon, fine. Start your own party then. Call it the bigot baiting party.

PPP with another COOKED poll......

Mitt will be fine and the Republican nominee for POTUS

Ohio JOE said...

"How do you know that Ohio Joe?" Do you think that I do not read comments on other web-sites.

Terrye said...

Ohio Joe, but he is weird..he is a dork..he just is. There is nothing Presidential about him.

Ron Paul is weird too..but he is not stupid or anything. they are both odd.

Right Wingnut said...

I'm pretty sure Lionhead grew tired of the bigot baiting and decided to move on. I wonder how many others are turned off when they come here and see that. You guys may not realize it, but that nonsense does nothing to further the cause of gaining more acceptance of your church. It likely has the opposite effect on some people.

Right Wingnut said...

Many people just go through life not thinking one way or another about a person's religion. We just don't care, but when we get called a bigot for no particular reason....let's just say it doesn't reflect well, and leave it at that.

Terrye said...

RightWingNut:

Bigot baiting?

Come on...I do not think that everyone who is against Romney feels that way because of his religion..but I do think it is a factor to some people..especially the people who come right out and say it is a factor..your argument is with them.

Terrye said...

You tell me...why did those pastors make a point of publicly attacking Romney and his religion? Why do that? Why tell evangelicals in Iowa not to vote for him because he is not a Christian..and if that sort of thing is happening..then why would politicians like Rick Perry or Rick Santorum try and get the support and backing of these same people?

Just asking.

Anonymous said...

tell me why sant is suddenly popular RWn? do those voting for him know all about him, or just that he's against abortion? hence the comments here. sant was lower than Cain, Perry, Paul, and Newt. pls say what he suddenly did to be appealing?

being against abortion is not a license to trample on the rest of the Constitution.

it isn't a license to be called conservative even when Sant is not fiscally conservative, which is the main core of being conservative

it isn't a license to vote for anti-gun education in the schools

he pretends to be ultra conservative by rhetoric, and inflammatory meaningless statements

but his path is quite the BIG GOVERNMENT path. he doesn't walk the walk of conservative by ANY stretch of the imagination. the only way you can imagine sant is a conservative is by listening without a brain to the Leftist media, who also don't use their brains

yet his corruption is SO VERY corrupt, that even the Democrats kicked him out

so it is logical to wonder why he's supposedly popular suddenly. just like cain, perry, and newt.

hopefully conservatives realize voting for the unknown didn't work out with obama too well for the Democrats, and that maybe they ought to believe the facts.

the facts are that sant calls himself attractive to Reagan Democrats. Guess what, Reagan left the Democrat Party. He's a Reagan Republican. Trouble for Sant is that he's really a Reagan Democrat.

So your plan RWn is to radicalize the Republican Party the same way obama Radicalized the Democrat Party.

Sant will lose, and the country will not recover. Great plan.

and vest man is the definition of dork. he's not to the right of Romney, who is also the ONLY Republican in the group running.

since these are facts, naturally one wonders why his sudden fame? please tell . . .

Anonymous said...

and i disagree heartily with the notion that sant is basically an honest guy. sant doesn't have the sleaze factor with women that newt has, but being declared one of the top most corrupt members of the senate (fraudulent etc) cannot qualify him as "a basically honest guy" because HE IS NOT

Anonymous said...

it is also very very dishonest to claim to be very conservative while voting to put anti-gun education in the schools. what a creepy dork

Noelle said...

But Ohio Joe, that comment was posted anonymously. How do you know that that anonymous poster has posted bigoted comments about Santorum on other sites?

By the way, I don't like anonymous posters. I wish everyone would identify themselves somehow. When we have multiple anonymous posters, I don't know if it is the same person posting multiple times or multiple people. I would implore the anonymous posters to pick some name to use here so I can tell you apart.

Right Wingnut said...

Terrye, you're one of the worst offenders. You more or less said that the people in my precinct are bigots because we voted for Santorum. I don't know if you are Mormon or not, but you and others are undoing a lot of the work the church is doing to gain acceptance. For example..."I am a Mormon". They're spending big bucks on that and you're working against them.

Right Wingnut said...

I don't see them running ads that say, "I am a Mormon, you are a bigot". Now...why do you think that is?

Terrye said...

RWN:

I never called you a bigot..never...all I ever said was that in areas where there is a big evangelical vote there tends to be more anti Mormon sentiment..you can ignore this all you want. But it is real.

Your response thus far has to been to ignore or whitewash all and any anti Mormon rhetoric and pretty much call every Mormon who claims prejudice a liar.

I have said time and again that i do not think everyone who votes for someone other than Romney is a bigot..I think some people are more concerned about the fact that he was Governor of a liberal state than they are his religion...but that does not change the fact that there has been a lot of that anti Mormon rhetoric out there. And to ignore it is just to ignore reality.

I also think a lot of people who do not vote for Romney are just the tools of talk radio and can not think for themselves...would you prefer that? Do you like description better?

In fact, I think caucuses are part of the problem because they depend on such a small percentage of the population for their results. They are not particularly representative.

Terrye said...

In fact, here is another example of why Santorum is not even a conservative, he supports SOPA..not even Obama was willing to do that..this so-called conservative defended government's right to regulate the internet.

Right Wingnut said...

Terrye, I'd post your comments from my thread that night, but it's a pain in the ass to do it with my phone. Feel free to go back and review it.

This thread has dwindled into the "bigotry or not?" mire to the point where I couldn't remember the original thread.

Santorum does have a problem with women voters. I agree with Noelle. When he speaks about social issues, he does not strike the right chord. He annoys even me, and I agree with a lot of what he says. My sister says that, too. She says, "If he makes me want to slap him, and I would be someone who could be his base, what does he do to other women who aren't?" Sorry, guys, you'll just have to trust us on this one. Santorum has got to make some big changes REALLY FAST, or he is destined to lose either the primary or in the general, and he may have the women voters to thank for it.

Let's see if I can get this right.

Today is the Romney Great Come and Get It Day. He's making big strides.

Number One: CPAC nominated Romney today. The media hyenas and jackals can't any longer explain why they are lying about Romney. HE IS CONSERVATIVE. CPAC really does get to decide this, not the liberal, leftist, obama-loving media.

Number Two: Romney won ME caucus. He was mocked by Palin, and she acted like Romney must take orders from her. Well, Palin, go back and crawl under the rock from where you came.

Nymber Three: Obama has been nailed. "Babeu also made the salient point that the idea that the Obama administration was behind Fast and Furious in order to curtail 2nd Amendment rights was “not a wild-eyed right-wing conspiracy, any longer.”

http://nicedeb.wordpress.com/2012/02/11/cpac-2012-sheriff-babeu-on-eric-holder-the-man-has-no-shame/

Number Four: He who laughs last, laughs best. Ha Ha RWn
